Time to close up this thread for the season.

I would like to congratulate the Cleveland Indians on a fine season of winning the Division. Anything can happen in a short series. You guys can look forward to having the best team going into next year.

Congratulations also to the Minnesota Twins. No one (not even you guys) thought you could win and you guys delivered all the way to the playoffs.

The Kansas City Royals must look for a way to reload during the off season, either that, or I see another rebuild going on in this division.

The Chicago White Sox should win executives of the year. Some great trades, this team has promise. I would be surprised if you contend next year, but look out after that.

The Detroit Tigers run at a World Series came to a sad end. This team was pathetic in their final season. There is some promise with some of the young players. Everything will hinge on good leadership as the rebuild goes full on. Don't panic ... it will be a couple of years to do it right. I can't fault them for going "all in", but this is what happens when you don't make it. The off season will be fun (no big free agents) and this team still has my support.

Good Luck to everyone on the off season.

Got to like verlander and the Astros.
Smarty money on astros

The odds for the Astros certainly went up, now that Verlander doesn't have to face Cleveland.

Rooting for an Astros-Nationals WS, with Verlander and Scherzer squaring off in Games 3 and 7.

Certainly disappointed with the loss. I expected more from this team. EE's injury was a killer. I think that affected the Tribe more than the pitching issues.

Same older losers. Next year we will either get the inevitable flop where they are supposed to win the division and fail to make the playoffs. Or they will soil themselves in the playoffs again. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother with this franchise. Oh well.

That win streak. Took to much energy. Just like when red wings won presidents cup.with most victors. Just took to much out of Indians.
That.....and bats went cold

On the bright side for Tribe fans....they play 19 games against Detroit next season. I suspect that will be good for 15+ wins right there. At least that's what "the numbers say".

Its time for you find a new team. Why don't do us all a favor and jump on the Yankees' bandwagon? I'm sure there is plenty of room.

Now, now. Tribe fans arguing will only get dougy all excited. As bad as things look now, come April...at least you won't have Nick Castellanos as your best hitter.

All you can ever expect is to have a team good enough to win and to make the playoffs with that team ... in a 1, 5 or 7 game series anything can happen ... there are no guarantees. The Cleveland Indians time is not over yet ... oh, and thanks for losing my bet for me, I had the Indians to win it all.

I've been the only realistic Indians fan here.

How do you figure? And when was I ever unrealistic about the Tribe this year? You seem to have a high opinion of yourself to proclaim you're the only realistic fan.

I'm speaking of people like @Erie Warrior who call me a bad fan for knowing this team will crap itself in the playoffs. I don't want it to happen but the writing was on the wall.

I shouldn't have said "only" thats poor wording on my part.

I won't be here to talk shit, but tough break Indians fans. Had a good team and came up short. Reminds me of some recent Tigers' seasons.

That.....and bats went cold

Shades of 1954 .... Indians had not only the best record in baseball that year, but the best winning percentage in baseball history (111-43, .721). They proceeded to be swept by the 96-58 New York Giants in the WS.
