They are still rumors of Verlander trade. I can't see it unless Tigers chip in about one-third of the money owed to Verlander. And even then, I would not expect top-of-the-line prospects in return.
Yeah, if the Tigers want decent prospects for Verlander, they will have to "buy" them -- at about $10-$12 million a year for the next two seasons.
In a pure salary dump move, they would be scraping the bottom of the barrel in the other team's minor league system.

Wrong again you idiot. You prove how much of a dumb ass you are iffy. 3 top prospects. So go back down to mommies basement. I am going to laugh so hard when verlander and the Astros break one off In the Indians. 1948 all over again bucky.
Well, good for JV. He has a chance for a ring now.
(Snarky Slinky comment about how JV sucks in the postseason in 3... 2...)
Seriously, how great was that move for the Indians? Their two major competitors in the AL now have pitchers that they own. Anything can happen in the postseason, but I'm feeling pretty good about their chances.
4 straight*If the Indians are fortunate enough to make the WS, that'll be five straight WS with the AL representative coming from the Central.
