Doug...as soon as predicted a Big 10 title for Michigan...I predicted OSU takes the Big10 and beats Michigan - again. Smart money ALWAYS bets the opposite of @dougplayer

So we can put Michigan down for 8-4? Since Doug is predicting dominance.

Has he said "THE NUMBERS FAVOR MICHIGAN" yet?

It would be interesting to see if doug even gets near admitting he was wrong about the 2017 Tigers. I imagine, at most, we'll hear a cart load of excuses.

Where do you think you made your MISTAKE? What went wrong? That makes it two years in a row that you messed up on your assessment of Detroit, Cleveland and the AL Central. Do you think your future opinions on baseball will have any value to anyone?

I might order some 2016 world series winner Chicago cubs stuff. After cubs got by the dodgers....it was piece of cake for them. Maybe a poster. Yeah. That's sounds good

I'll ask again. Doug...how did you f--k up your prediction on the Tigers (and Clev) this year?

Miggy Cabrera (see doug's avatar) has no homeruns and 3 RBI in August. He is the Tiger's cleanup hitter. hahahaha.

Back to 3-8 for Sperry. So please be silent. You are not worthy little brother

Sparty is irrelevant. I've never assigned "god" status to D'Antonio as UoM Fan has for Jimbo. That said, D'Antonio and Meyer have put trophies on their schools' shelves. Jimbo hasn't ...yet. So let's quit calling him a genius coaching god until he does.

LOL, go for it Doug. You won't be getting Tigers WS champ gear any time soon. Jump on that Cubs bandwagon.

I would never give anyone "God" status, but D'Antonio is a pretty darn good coach ... Michigan State will not be irrelevant. I am a results guy and a die hard fan (huge confliction here), but I like Harbaugh as a coach, this year he could prove himself at Michigan ... I'd be happy with 9-3.

Thanks to the Indians for making this thread boring ... I don't think anyone is going to catch them.

I forgot who told me to be that doug/iffy guy on ignore, but thank you.

so.....

its kinda locked in for the most part that Boston and Cleveland will be the first round series huh?

I think those are the 2 best teams with how the Astros have been playing and their injuries. Kinda bums me out actually.

hey--- i agree with you somewhat--- AT SOME point Michigan is going to win a game against OSU....i mean- its pure probability to a certain extent

if OSU and Michigan play 10 times--- Michigan will prob win 2 times...thats how rivalry games usually work.

Michigan lost a lot of talent this offseason. As did OSU--- but OSU seems to do a better job restocking.

if you were the Tigers GM how would you approach this offseason?

would you rebuild--- or try and double down on this team? i like victor martinez a lot- but he was always slow as shit. It amazed me he could hit for avg. like he did being one of the slowest guys in the league. It seems he has lost some more of the little athleticism he had...hes one of my all time favorite indians--- but ti looks close to the end for him. Kinlser is aging. Miggy is no longer a top bat.

I mean- you at least have the beginning of a solid rotation with Verlander and Fullmer----- and some decent young arms like Boyd and Norris etc.....Zimmerman was a waste of money......but the Tigers lineup is just so old besides Upton- and the bullpen is atrocious. Ill be the first to admit--- I didnt expect Upton to be really really good like he has been.

the AL Central isnt exactly stacked- esp. with the Indians under achieving to a certain extent this year--- but its hard for me to see the Tigers path to contention next year minus some really major major moves that break in their favor

honestly i think Boston is the only team that could beat the Indians in the AL.

I think the Indians rotation is peaking at the right time. Salazar and Bauer have looked great. Kluber is the best or 2nd best pitcher in the AL. Miller has gotten some time to rest and re-energize. Joe Smith was a very nice acquisition so we dont have to watch Shaw as much.

The Yanks are young. They are still mistake prone. Their rotation just isnt that great. The Yanks will be big time contenders going forward- and have a ton of good young players- but it takes time to get those guys ready. Yanks do have a scary pen with Chapman and Bettances though.

The Astros are really good- but again - they arep retty young- and their SP just hasnt been that good of late. McCullers is hurt. Keuchel has been on the DL and doesnst look like the guy who was amazing the first few months of the season.

Boston has Sale- the only guy that can match Kluber in the AL. Kimbrel has been amazing. They got some experience last year - the young guys- against the Tribe in the playoffs.

I mean -its baseball- anything can happen--- but it would surprise me if the Indians lost to anyone besides the Sox in the AL.

I agree they're the two best teams, but frankly, I think the Indians are the best team in the AL.

Also, given the Tribe's history of owning Sale and Price's history of shitting down his leg in big games, I think the Indians match up very well against the Red Sox.

With Keuchel struggling lately and not a lot behind him, and with the Astros' offense scuffling -- they got shut out last night by Patrick Corbin -- I think the Indians match up well against them too.

Of course, what things look like on paper doesn't mean shit in October.
