I'll give you a hint: it's the same number of wins Justin Verlander has since May 21st.

I think you're being melodramatic.

At this point last season, they only had three more wins than this year's team.

This is kind of crazy: through 8/1/16 they'd scored 516 runs, which is the exact number they've scored YTD. They've allowed 8 fewer runs.

I'm not saying I think they're going to go deep in the postseason - there's so much luck involved in that you just never know. I will say that I was shocked last year that they beat the Red Sox, Blue Jays and pushed the Cubs to extras in game 7. All three of those teams were better than the Indians - particularly with the Indians' injuries.

You guys are good. I'm not saying you're the favorites, but you will make the playoffs and your pitching is good enough to hang with anyone.

I still don't get how Bauer hasn't gotten it yet. He's nasty, but he hasn't put it all together.

They've got the 3rd best record in the AL, behind an overrated Astros team that's feasted on an incredibly weak schedule and the Red Sox (only .003 win percentage points behind the Red Sox).

Winning the division is going to be tough. They still play KC 10 more times I think and they are only 2 up right now. Every time they seem to be gaining some momentum they go and piss down their leg again, just cant seem to pull away.

What? They're 26-17 since June 15th.

They can't pull away because the Royals went on a 10-game win streak.

Basing it off of 3 games reasonably late in the season, yes. This is the time of year where it's time to put up or shut up, and they've got shit all over by Boston to start it off.

They only had a three game lead on the Tigers at this point last season and they came out of the All-Star Break playing .500 ball up to this point (compared to .588 this year), but somehow you had some mystical tickle in yer britches last year that you don't know.
