The Tigers have the 4th worst record in the A.L. & their pitching is ranked 13th outta 15th. That team you supposedly root for aren't pouncing on anyone.

Doug...do you think Mikki Mahtook and Jim Adducci can carry this club? Cabrera, Kinsler, and VMart appear old and washed up. Do you think Mahtook, Adducci, and maybe Presley can fill the void?

Some really good pitching by Verlander even though Tiger's lost. If Verlander can repeat that in his next start, he might get another team to trade for him despite his massive contract. Astros are still interested if the Tigers add Wilson to the deal.

Funny you include Adduci and Presley in the "younger" group. Adduci is 32 and Presley is 31 (turning 32 next week). They are both retreads getting their 3rd or 4th chance in the Bigs. They certainly do play younger than Cabrera, V-mart and Kinsler.

Minnesota is the only team in the AL Central over performing unless you count off field then the White Sox are having a tremendous year!!
