If it wasn't for the Red Wings...Detroit (area) teams have gone through a lot of years and presidents waiting for another championship. I think what stings the most is the utter dominance that OSU has had over UM - since the Clinton administration.

Lugo and Alcantara MIGHT be starting in the Tigers infield in 2019. Lugo was originally a SS, but was playing a lot of 3B at AA. Alcantara is a SS at Single A. King....I never heard of.

Not a great deal for Detroit....but awesome for the D'Backs. I am surprised the two teams did not hook up on Justin Wilson....AZ needs a better closer and a lefty reliever. Their problem is....a real thin minor league system.

Edit...Jose King is an 18 year old middle infielder.

A lot of contending teams could use a Justin Wilson. I hope Avila has some patience, because he could bring something decent in return. He was already a good lefty middle reliever who can come in and get a strikeout or two... now he checks the box for being a closer, too.

Tigers might turn to Bruce ''broncosmitty'' Rondon as their closer.

I really do expect Avila to get more in return for Wilson than he got for JD Martinez.
