He retired the first 16 batters he faced last night.Verlander still has the ability to pitch well, but I think Wahoo hit the nail on the head just using the eye test. I haven't researched it in great detail to ponder it more stringently, however. He's always been prone to some meathead pitching, imo.
You really get upset about verlander pay.
He retired the first 16 batters he faced last night.
For the second time in his career.
What's meathead pitching?
I don't think anyone on the thread would disagree with this.He is a faggish version of Verlander when HE used to be lights out
I think that's Gene Lamont.Tigers sign slugger. Indians ate worried.View attachment 161898
Verlander is not going to be worth $28mil a year for the next two seasons. Detroit needs to rebuild and moving Verlander and saving around $28mil dollars would be a huge step in the right direction, IMO. (It won't happen....but it would be a great move if it did)
I watched "Archie Bunkers Place" for the first time the other night. What's Meathead pitching? I didn't even know Rob Reiner was pitching in professional baseball. Is Gloria Bunker playing in WNBA?
Sorta like. LeBron. He is not worth the 25 million. He can't win another ring. Waste of money.Verlander is not going to be worth $28mil a year for the next two seasons. Trading Verlander without getting anything good in return won't help a rebuild, it's not like they can use that money to draft players overslot anymore.

On the other hand...matt Stafford will soon be highest paid NFLer. He is worth every penny
So. You agree? LeBron can't win another ring. So it's a waste of 25 million...
Bleak times in ohio.
Worse part is. Jimbo khaki pants schools little urban. Indians extend 1948 to another year. Brown's are the browns... CAVS luck the shoes of the warriors. Lions are much improved. Stafford is on the corner. Ready to turn it. Michigan football is back to national dominance...tigers working on getting brad fired. It's hard. But must get done
You are not going to get anyone good in return for Verlander. Just my view....if I could re-coop $28mil from the $56mil they will pay Verlander in 2018-19....I'd like to see that money spent on free agents (lower level FA obviously) who could fill in some spots during the years of rebuilding. Keeping Verlander around, while he is a mid-rotation, at best, starter and paying him $28mil a season makes no sense. They probably will have no choice....it is just something I would like to see happen.
