Great, so proving my point that each year we're seeing a decline in defense which impacts the reg season? Only a matter of time before teams in the EC take advantage & get over the hump. Clearly that isn't going to be Toronto this season :heh:
Where do you see that?

He's on pace to win as many, or more games, than he did last year.

What does that have to do with his defense?

I know GS wouldn't break up their team to add him. But you think now that Hou has found a winning combination they would risk breaking that up - especially when we know LBJ only likes to sign 1 year deals? Would be interesting if they did it though. I think he'd be a better fit in Philly though. Nice young core around him would take care of the heavy lifting for the duration if was interested in that.
I think they'd gut the roster for Lebron.

But, not any other FA that can be had this Summer.

The problem is that the player's association does everything they can to discourage players from doing that. When stars take less, it impacts the market for everybody else.

In other words, LeBron would actually be selfish to take a smaller deal because it would have trickle down effects across the league. Melo is clearly in a different category, but he still has more to consider than himself and the Thunder.
David West.

Well, let's start with the fact that they're barely holding onto the 3rd seed. They haven't struggled like that since his first stint in Cle. I think that is linked to them being bottom feeders of the league when it comes to defense.

Maybe some think seeding isn't important - but in this case I think it makes a difference for them because it will determine their match up in that first round. I'm pretty sure they don't want to see a team that would take them to 6 or 7 games that early. Again, just my opinion & I know you don't agree.

The 2 most recent ones that come to mind for me are when the Lakers traded Shaq to Miami and when Orlando traded Dwight to the Lakers. In each case, it was a player who demanded a trade, was about to be a free agent and the team was trying to make sure they got something for him rather than losing him for nothing.

Yeah. Both times the player forced the team's hand.

Last year, 51 wins gave them the 2nd seed.

Struggling to hold onto the 3rd seed is more psychosomatic of losing Kyrie while teams like the 76ers have gotten a shit ton better.

As for seeding, it totally matters if you are the less talented Team.

I think the Raptors and 76ers have better talent.

But, the Cavs have the best, and much more proven, player by a pretty decent margin which gives them the edge.

The Warriors have 2 of the top 3 players in a Houston matchup.

Which is why the Rockets having HCA is not that big of a deal.

yea good point about losing Kyrie - he was their closer.

I think the fact that the Warriors are a superior road team is more of the reason that HCA isn't a big deal for them.

What do people on here think about Will Cain?

Strikes me as a major douche-nozzle.

True.

WCF will likely be better than the actual Finals.

I never assumed titles in the Lakers glory days of days gone by.

Okay, that's a damn lie.
