Not saying he can't be saved or anything, more that dealing him could've filled a need. Now dealing him wouldn't have the same impact, if that does wind up being the path the Isles choose to take which would be prudent given their current position in the standings.
So the Isles are 4 pts ahead of 9th place and Garth can "sit back", but the Preds are 5 pts ahead of 9th place and the GM needs to get off his ass and get some scoring?The Islanders don't have to do anything right now. They're in a playoff spot. Garth can sit back & let teams come to him with offers. There is absolutely no reason for Garth to force a trade. It's not something I expect him to do either. If that was the case Hamonic would have been gone early in the season.
Dal Colle is probably going to be traded after the Christmas break. Apparently a lot of teams have shown interest.
