Bobby Mac thinks Flames prospect Brandon Hickey has made the team, I didn't see today's game, but I thought he played well against Belarus yesterday.

Team Canada's 23 man roster is below and Hickey did indeed make the squad.

Virtanen under pressure to dominate world juniors

I don't know, I think guys like Marner, Strome and Konecny will likely lead the way offensively. Truth be told, I would have greater hopes for McCann to dominate than Virtanen, but unfortunately injuries forced the Canucks hand and they kept McCann.

Sounds like Butter might be doing some luring (don't call it tampering) with Flames prospect Brandon Hickey to get him to leave BU for Red Deer after the WJHC. Red Deer has his CHL rights.

/Rebels have an automatic entry into the Memorial Cup as the host team.

Liking that roster, looking forward to seeing how we do this year at the tournament.

Sweden ties it up on the PP - Nice looking power play from Tre Kronor.

A malfunction at the junction between two Swedish players and Canada takes advantage to go up 3-1.

5-1 Canada after two periods - I think Sweden is playing possum (it is a pre-tourney game after all).

Not saying he can't be saved or anything, more that dealing him could've filled a need. Now dealing him wouldn't have the same impact, if that does wind up being the path the Isles choose to take which would be prudent given their current position in the standings.

The Islanders don't have to do anything right now. They're in a playoff spot. Garth can sit back & let teams come to him with offers. There is absolutely no reason for Garth to force a trade. It's not something I expect him to do either. If that was the case Hamonic would have been gone early in the season.

Dal Colle is probably going to be traded after the Christmas break. Apparently a lot of teams have shown interest.

Remember that 5-1 Canada lead? It's 6-6 now (lol)

Edit: Make that 7-6 Canada

So the Isles are 4 pts ahead of 9th place and Garth can "sit back", but the Preds are 5 pts ahead of 9th place and the GM needs to get off his ass and get some scoring?
