Not putting all the blame on the goalies, but I'm thinking maybe next year they actually invite more than 2 goalies (not counting ones that were added only after 1 of the 2 got suspended)?

I guess Lowry had no confidence in McDonald after that game against the States where two Canadian players (Hicketts and Point) tipped pucks past him for USA goals.

That Auston Matthews kid is pretty good, he'd better not wind up in an Oilers uniform.

You know what was frustrating? Watching Strome dump the puck in the corner with 15 seconds left with Point right there on the wing wide open and available to carry the puck over the blue line instead. But dump and chase is good Canadian hockey though, right? :L

(I'm not criticizing Strome specifically, I suspect he's just doing what he's been told to do)

You made it pretty easy to call penalties, Jake.

With his familiarity with Werenski and Milano, I think there's really only one place he can go.

There are actually rumblings that Werenski is displeased in Michigan and wants to opt into turning pro. The Kool Aid drinkers are already proclaiming that it's exactly what we need - he jumps right to Columbus.

Yeah, like the kid will last five seconds under Torts.

Pretty sure the Lindros year should be 1987

I thought the only games we played disiplaned we won.

Too much youth and inexperience for this team Canada. Showed in that last 10minutes.

There are two reasons I want him to be a Penguin: he's good; watching Leafs fans lose their shit. It won't happen, but still.

they seem to do that in European tournaments lately - set it up as training missions for the next local tourney.
9 players are eligible to come back next year when the tourney is in Tor/Mtl
Same thing happened in Malmo - sent a young squad to gain experience the next year (gold on Cdn soil)
disappointing to see an average squad compete though

also, they need a better than average goalie one of these years.
