A back and forth tiebreak ensues, with both players getting mini breaks. FED having 3 set points, and Cilic having a few more match points in the tiebreak.



FED prevails in the tiebreak, 11 - 9.

I jinxed Fed three times just by looking at the scores!! The third time he was facing MP. Now I sneaked a peek and see he has set point in the fourth! Maybe I will jinx that too!!

Fed played one of his best comeback matches of his career. Just glad he won it. I couldn't launch the scoreboard after a while cause match was over and with a very dreading feeling I opened the results page. Whew!! He should have won the fourth when he had the set on his racket (serving for it).

lendl has really brought back andy's aggressiveness, and his play at net is what won him that set.

What a first set in the Tsonga/Murray match.

Tsonga is really hitting some errors at the moment and really needs to reel it in otherwise this could get out of hand quickly.

I only managed to catch Set 1, the fourth set breaker, and the last two games from Fed. It was great to see him serving well in the big moments. Everything else was somewhat rusty, but Milos is not gonna break that serve. I won't be surprised if that match is all 7-6 sets.

Tsonga vs. Murray:

Murray won the first two sets, including 12 - 10 in the 1st set tiebreak. Tsonga had several set points.

Tsonga won the next 2 sets. His athleticism and shotmaking on the run were bothering Murray.

Fun to watch.

I didn't expect Venus to win. Serena winning by conceding just two games is surprising and once again brings to the forefront the theory of how weak this era is.
