Nishikori is too feeble to win a slam, IMO. He gives everything he has just to get the semis. He'll be a shell of what he was today for the rest of the tournament.

Shame that Murray wasn't good enough to get through.

del potro, too, though both take the match completely out of nishikori's hands. the odds of either of them knocking themselves out against backboard nishikori when he's already tired make it more and more out of his hands.

and beating either of them will take more out of an already depleted gas tank for nishikori, who has consistently proven he's weak. he'll be useless by the final if he does make it that far.

Nishikori and Monfils both should lose. Nishi will win one set and Monfils will go down in straights. Stan vs Nole should be good because Stan has beaten Nole before. All depends on if Stan wins easily vs Nishi.

Kei wins. What a match. Down 2 sets to 1 and came back to beat the best tennis player this summer. Great job Kei.

Unless Monfils beats Novak, I'll be rooting for whoever makes the final from the side of the draw ( Kei or the winner of Stan/JDP)

John McEnroe was annoying during the Wawrinka-Del Potro match, as a broadcaster.

Kept downplaying Wawrinka. Before the QF match, he said Nishikori would beat whomever came out of the Wawrinka - Del Potro match. Then afterwards he says Wawrinka is a slight favorite.

He also downplayed Wawrinka's chances against Murray. Wawrinka has beaten Murray twice at the USO, including a straight set win in 2013.

There was an interesting stat that Del Potro had lost 7 straight 5 setters, going into yesterday's match.

His last 5 set win was against James Blake at the 2010 AO.

8 straight if you include Davis Cup.
