Really need to push this tourney off for a month. Their January is our July. Its the equivelant of playing a tourney in Florida in July.

Yep doesn't make sense. Its why there always some unknown making a late run. Give them a month to play instead of 1 or 2 weeks. Not like there are any big tournaments in February. The next major tourney after the Aussie Open is Miami in March

it takes place right before their kids all go back to school in the first week of feb, very much like our big major in new york works with timing.

since tennis is about 10X more popular in the asia-pacific than it will ever be here, and it's their only slam, it actually makes perfect sense with their timing.

and the overwhelming majority of players in the draws are playing tennis and training hard a lot more than for 2 weeks before the aussie open. it's truly a year round sport for everybody except a small handful of elite players.

I understand that part. I am more concerned with how the year flows and the conditions for the players. Not caring about the availability of ball boys or how many kids get to go watch for the entire 2 weeks.

Poor Rafa got nothing for Novak these days. Djoker defeated him 1 and 2

No talk on the big wins for the young Americans:

Kozlov winning the first ever $25k future

And more importantly, Fritz winning his third Challenger in the last couple months

Some targets that I hope the big American prospects hit this year:

Fritz- 40
Tiafoe- 60
Donaldson- 75
Kozlov- 125
Paul- 125
Rubin- 150
Mmoh- 175
Opelka- 200

I think Tiafoe can do much better than that.

Same old Isner. Loses to Bautista Agut. Disappointing to say the least.

Sock is in the semis vs Ferrer
