I played a lot of golf when I was younger, wasn't very good, best score ever was +6. Anyway, the company I was working for hired a guy who had spent 3 years on the Nike tour. First time we went to the range, I was having trouble with a slice on a new driver I'd bought. He had me hit one, it went about 290 but bounced out right. I told him the club had a little rattle and I was thinking of taking it back. He asked to hit it, he hadn't hit a ball yet. Had never swung the club, this guy hits it 335 right down the heart. Looks at me and says "it ain't the club".
We played a tough local course that day, and I shoot 85. He shoots 63, playing it down, and the guy was literally just fooling around. This one hole, 400 dogleg that's 200 down and 200 up. If you cut over the trees, the carry is 280, but you can drive the green. Me and another buddy pull 3 wood to go over the trees, and Mike pulls a 4 iron. My buddy teased the Pro for hitting an iron to lay up, and Mike says "who's laying up". 4 iron, over trees, back of green. Amazed .I asked him why the Hell wasn't he on the PGA. He said...."I wasn't good enough"

I have played since I was 10 or 12 and I am decent. Played a lot in high school and college but I am basically mid to upper 80's. If I took the time to fix my swing I could probably play much better. I have played with some pretty good golfers but not 63 lol. That guy was totally fucking with you guys lol
