I know, but in past drafts there have been players who were not eligible because they were injured for the entire year and did not play. Up to this point, Houston has not played this season. Neither has Gordon.

Not trying to be a dick, but in the current MLB draft that we did, I selected Cliff Lee, who was injured for the season and ineligible for me to pick without using a WC pick. I remember a different MLB draft that was like, 34, 64, 84 or something. Jim Palmer was injured on whatever year it was and he was ruled ineligible. This is a current player draft, Houston, Gordon, Watt are all current players, they did not retire after the 2015 season therefor eligible...

Watt played this season, so nobody is talking about his ineligibility.
He's on the active roster and hrs getting paid .He's eligibleI know, but in past drafts there have been players who were not eligible because they were injured for the entire year and did not play. Up to this point, Houston has not played this season. Neither has Gordon.
So what about the Cliff Lee decision? That definitely was a current draft. IIRC, it was the offseason when we did this draft and it was ruled that Lee did not play the year before, so he was ineligible, even though he was still on the payroll and roster.
100% right. You Don't have to get in a game to be active, Goff hasn't played a snap all seasonThis is a current player draft, Houston, Gordon, Watt are all current players, they did not retire after the 2015 season therefor eligible...

Going off the OP, that's correct. A 2016 cap hit. Now. If someone were still paying someone who retired in 2014, that would be dead money. The difference between that and Houston, Watt and Gordon, is their team fully intends on playing them when eligibleAs long as he has a 2016 cap hit I guess he should be eligible...makes sense
If you look at the injured list, up above it, it says "players designated to return". That's the keyThis was asked in that MLB draft I was talking about...
What is considered as active? I'm looking at some lists that aren't outdated, but are listing names that haven't played since 2012. I guess they had to have played last year or were put on IR or something for anyone who might have been injured.
And this was Nos's response.
Current = Player who had at least one plate appearance or one batter faced during the 2015 season...
Just so you guys don't think I am crazy and making up shit. So, the final ruling is, if the guy has a cap hit, he is eligible and dead money doesn't count unless the guy actually played in 2016 (to cover my ass on Cromartie)?
