Dak is playing against the players of today. Normally, when we do a draft, no one takes Dick Butkas until the 10th round because of the era he played in, despite the fact that compared to the players of his era, he was as good or better than Ray Lewis. Dak has beaten Aaron Rodgers and Big Ben on the road this season, has 14 TD's and 2 Int's. He has the 2nd longest winning streak for a rookie QB in NFL history, and is on pace to be the first QB in NFL history to throw for over 4000 yards and less than 5 picks. At half a million, he looks like great value compared to $20 million for some other guys right now.Yes, everyone will have them. But i am sure everyone is going to project them differently.
For example. You just took dak Prescott, I thought that was a reach pick while ritzy thought it was a great pick.
You can see already by how this draft has gone, people love the value picks. But I can guarantee we all value them differently.

I don't know if Dak is gonna end up an all time great, but you don't know that he isn't. What we do know, is that his style of play puts a lot of pressure on a defense, and that last year, without Tony Romo, the Cowboys went 1-11. This year, with the same team except for Dak and Zeke, the team is 8-1. He would finish top 3 in MVP if voting were today. If we were lining these guys up to play a real football game, I'd like the run/pass game Dak could provide with David Johnson, especially against the pass rushes these teams will have.
Top 10 QB might be the most overrated thing going. Matt Stafford, Matt Ryan, Andy Dalton, Tony Romo, Carson Palmer, Phillip Rivers....these are all top 10 QB's year in and year out, and they have combined to win ZERO-0-ZIP Championships. Playing winning football doesn't always mean having the best stats, though Dak is putting up great numbers. I've watched every snap the kid has played in the NFL. I don't think you have to wait 5 years to tell if he can play or not. If Dak is doing this well as a rookie, it bodes well for his future. QB's play better with experience, not worseFunny thing is my team is more molded to look like the cowboys than you are... As i love how there offense is constructed in real life...
I can understand why a cowboy fan would be so optimistic with Dak, i am just not ready to call him a top 10 QB this season, and likely still bottom half... and that's without talking about players who had previous seasons better/similar to dak...
