Is Waiters still a FA?
He's UNRESTRICTED....
The Thunder pulled his qualifying offer because they are trying to get Westbrook to redo his deal NOW and they needed to remove Waiters cap hold.
Is Waiters still a FA?
Lol. Ouch.I have a 11 and 12 year old daughters.
Sadly, I am well versed in ice skating year round....lol
He's not. He's locked up with Milwaukee who is trying to move him. No trade partners thus far. What is the deal with Greg Monroe still being a UFA?
Oh my mistake. Why are they trying to trade him? I thought he's been solid for them?

He doesn't fit what they're trying to do. He's a low post offensive player, and he's not a good defender. I think they believe he's the reason there was a significant drop off from the team's defense last year and the year before. Monroe is kind of like Al Jefferson. He's always going to be a player that's good, but you're not quite sure if he's really helping you or not.
thats the last thing you want....you will have a Big 5 then- at least in his mind- and im not joking when i say Dion will think he deserves double digit shots...In before Waiters to Warriors on minimum deal.

his potential is tantalizing- especially with his build and strength and quickness-- but hes a head case

Word is that Jerry West was(is?) a big fan of his. I tend to agree about the headcase part, but he would be a much better risk/reward player, imo, than say a Lance Stephenson.
The last thing you want is a selfish player in the end of the bench when all you need is a few minutes here and there.
Going to be tough to move him, as a low post player that doesn't defend is a tough sell. Monroe will need to improve his defensive game.
....that and he can opt out next Summer.
Nobody is giving up much for a rental that can't play defense.
