Man Wade is so tough to figure out what to pay him.

Although he is getting older, the guy can still put a team on his back on do some special things, he is also a good leader. However, he is getting old, how many more years he have left in the tank? List of injuries....so many things to consider when signing him.

Its not tough. He is worth more than 10 million. The only thing tough to figure out is the years. When you got guys like Fournier and Turner making 17 mill yearly, its not that difficult. 10 million is ridiculous. I hope he leaves after that nonsense

It was just posted by Woj.

The Heat's initial offer of $10 million annually – which would've constituted a 50 percent pay cut from his $20 million 2015-16 salary – deeply angered Wade, league sources told The Vertical. Even with the Heat planning to counter to a higher figure, league sources said, Wade has been insistent on starting to explore the market and meet with teams once he returns from an overseas vacation, league sources said.

Sources: Dwyane Wade fielding $20 million-a-year offers

I'm reading it, but I have a very hard time believing it to be accurate.
There's something missing there.
That's just NOT something Riley/Arison would do IMO.

Yeah you are right, it is the years. Offer more money, but not so many years.

was Miami offering 10 mill but several more years? Or were they also shorting him years?

This. Totally disrespectful.....if Riles doesn't land KD (and it's unlikely).....they could be fucked.

Not if they think they can woo KD....they low-balled the face of their franchise. :tsk:

I would really hope not. I would have no respect for Riley or Arison if that report is true

Doesn't matter about the years. 4 yr/40 million is a shit contract. He can make much more somewhere else even with less years. Could easily get something like 3 for 66 somewhere else

10 is a fucking joke in general, let alone after what we've seen so far.
Wades looking pretty happy on that boat.
I'm NOT buying.

Same people saying this said Whiteside was leaving.

I was told to take outside reporting (from Riley once) with a grain of salt, and that's the route I'm taking from now on.

DURANT seems to love Clipperland???

There was this idea that Westbrook was planning on going to LA in 2017 when he is free.

Maybe there is a plan to join forces with the Clippers?? instead of Westbrook being a Laker like some expected.

I could see something a bit like that being talked about....make it easier to leave Westbrook if he is coming in year 2.

That's kinda shitty.

Pat wants him to take Delledova Money?

Met with the Clippers for 4 hours today? Well he met with OKC for 5 yesterday and is meeting with the Thunder again last. I don't blame him for talking to other teams, no harm, but he knows there is not a better situation for him out there anywhere. Be like MJ, win it yourself with what you started. That's KD.

If that's what they really offered, there is no way I come back if I'm Wade....even if they decide to offer 20 mil after Durant rejects them on Sunday

-Worst deal so far. Tie between Mozgov and Evan Turner. If you make me pick, I'll go Mozgov because he's not a fit AT ALL and reeks of a panic move. Turner is overpaid but at least he's somewhat serviceable. Neither one of these deals is good.

I agree that, on the surface, it looks like Mozgov doesn't fit with what the Lakers have. However, Luke moved down to LA a day or 2 after the finals to make sure he was involved in the FA decisions. I can only assume that he was consulted about Mozgov and feels that he can find a role for him.

It's basically a 2 year deal since the 3rd and 4th years are team options. Start him for 30-32 mpg and have him mentor Zubac (who has great upside and could be a steal).....in year 3 start Zubac who should be ready.
