People are over-reacting to the fact he didn't play much in the playoffs when they were going with a smaller lineup. It's not like he's getting a max deal. He is being paid for defense, rebounding and maybe 10-12ppg. He could easily get a double-double if he gets 30-plus mpg.

Yes the negative part is Rondo cant shoot the 3 so when the ball is not in his hands teams can double butler.

He's improved a lot though. Still nothing to write home about.

Mozgov has never averaged more than 7.8rpg. I'm not sure why he'd do better than that now.

More consistent playing time should help improve that a little. Even if he stays around that average, it will be an improvement over what the Lakers have gotten from the center position since the Dwightmare.

Gonna need 16 to get Rondo.

Nobody is happier about the Lin, Mosgov and Noah contracts than Dwight Howard and Rondo.

I wouldnt mind 16 mill at 2 years. That is it. Bulls will still have enough money for a Max next year.

It may have been, and Gasol would never actually say it, that his interest was based on who the Lakers got in FA.

Hey I was right about 2 out of the 3. That he wasnt an ALLstar player anymore, and he will miss games and not stay healthy. I gave you props about the other thing. I think before you could have dealt him into someones cap space no problem---- but i think here you might even be able to get something back of value at this point.

Well Lopez is a 10 and 7 guy, so that's not horrible. For the money it is, but it's a new day in the NBA.

Yep. Not only lose out on those 3... but in hindsight it looks like the Mavs were just used by those 3 players to get leverage for the team they really wanted to play with.
