A year ago, wouldn't most have felt Moz was worth more then Tristan?

I am not sure about that. Maybe They were comparable. I don't think most though Mozzy was better though. As good as Mozgov was in the Finals, Thompson played even better.

money is never going to drive a decision.

plus- if we offered him the same contract he leaves anyway- he wants to be a starter.

Link?

And, he was supposed to start.
How about instead of want, go out and earn it?

Thompson is infinitely more valuable for so many reasons- not the least of which is that he is just better. The one thing that concerned me about Mozgov is how his confidence would go in the tank- and hes like 7' 2" and started having knee issues. He was unplayable for the Cavs by the end of the year and was getting the Mario Chalmers treatment from LeBron. That was the one guy on this team that was 100% not coming back.

Delly and Jefferson are up in the air. All the Cavs can offer Jefferson is the mini-midlevel- so hes gonna have to take a pay cut to come back. I think they will be in on Delly- 50/50 he is back- but with Mo and Felder (just drafted) they dont have to sign Delly- Shump can even play a little point here and there and of course LBJ can.

Crawford just resigned in LA for 4 years 50M......12.5M a year.

so....the Lakers have spent about 30M in cap room on Crawford and Mozgov....how much do they have left and where do they go from there?

should be interesting.

In previous seasons Mozgov was considered to be a decent player. He has been injured, is getting older, and teams are shifting away from big lumbering centers.

Teams need a rim protector. He provides that as well as rebounding and can average 10-12ppg in a starting role.

I'm thinking they may have picked him specifically to communicate with and mentor Zubac.

Well, we needed a rim protector, and Mozgov is that....but yeesh, 4 years is ALOT for HIM. 12 mill for Clarkson is a steal however

err...for 4 years...?

let's hope for THAT kinda jack he passes a LOT down to this kid...

Zubac is a project, but he has talent. First 2-3 years will be as a backup most likely and learning the NBA game. Seen some highlights where he was dominating highly ranked American athletes and it was embarrassing.
