I was going to wait until the end of the finals but this is a pretty big story so I thought why the hell not?
No deal. Can't give up Lavine and the 5 pick.
At least wait to see if Murray is available
You're crazy. I'd give up Lavine and the 5 pick for Butler all day. Chicago, on the other hand, would be like "Is that all you got?"

I'd honestly do Lavine, Dieng and the #5 for Butler if I was Minnesota. With the way the cap is going to go up, Butler at 19 million a year is going to be a steal. He's basically a max player making two thirds of what other max players will be making. And he'll only be 27 at the start of next season.
What's the better lineup: Rubio, Butler, Wiggins or Rubio, Lavine Wiggins? I'm also not as high on Murray as you are so I don't value that pick as much if he does slip to #5.
Not a shot. Especially since they will keep trying to ask for gorgui.
Team isn't ready yet. Lavine in 3 years or Jimmy at 30? Murray is a potential superstar. Give me those two as youngsters in 3 years.
I'm a massive Jimmy guy too.
30 isn't old. Lavine will be hitting his absolute best scenario if he tops out as a player as good as Butler is now. But there's just as good a chance, maybe moreso, than he's nothing more than a tweener guard that can dunk and give occasional scoring. Take the sure thing. And I wouldn't want any draft pick lower than 3 in this year's draft. I mean, I'd take it but it has lower value this year than most because this a weak draft. It's likely Murray won't be there anyway.
Rubio, Butler, Wiggins, and Towns is a massively good defensive team with offensive talent to boot. You do that deal all day because you're gaining a known commodity.

This is the other rumor I would do. Lavine and Dieng and #5 for Butler and I will throw in Snell. Bulls rebuild and next year they will have enough money for 2 Max players.I'd honestly do Lavine, Dieng and the #5 for Butler if I was Minnesota. Im a Bulls fan why not. We need to start over. Butler hit his max. He is a Top 20 player and Top 5 2 way player. Im ok with starting over. Im a Big Jimmy also but its time to really break this team up. Im also a fan of trading rose if we got the #5 pick because we draft Dunn then. The Bulls should be like:
