Good post SE and spot one. I fear a major eff-up by Fisher coming on with this move of Olgetree.

Rams likely to tag Jenkins or Tru (trying to work on a 5 year deal with Jenkins).

Crap, this is NOT good..Between this and Janoris changing agents...These guys are looking to take us to the cleaners!!!

Like I said before, what these players say about wanting to stay together, and what they actually do are two different things.

I would transition tag Janoris let the market dictate his cost, if he signs a deal elsewhere, and if it is doable match it.

The guy thinks his agent isn't getting good enough of an offer, but in reality is he is not good enough to get that offer.

Tru has more interest out there than Jenkins.

Free Agent CB Janoris Jenkins Turns Down Rams 5 Year, 45 Million Contract

"Low-Balled" is a bit harsh here JJ.....

A $9M average annual value would put JJ in the top 12 of NFL CBs per OTC. Maybe I'm being a homer, but that seems like a pretty fair offer. Then again, it's been clear since the end of the season that Jenkins wasn't going to be afraid to ruffle some feathers during the negotiation process.

Maybe this influenced the Rams thought process when considering using the franchise tag on fellow CB Trumaine Johnson. If the Rams decide to utilize the franchise tag on either Jenkins or Johnson, it will tie up $13.952M in salary for the one year pact.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to keep Tru and JJ together, but it'd be foolish of the Rams to drop close to $25M in 2016 for their starting CBs. Particularly when you consider that they have a replacement (E.J. Gaines) and young depth (Lamarcus Joyner) waiting in the wings.

This definitely throws a wrench into "Priority A" for Snead and Fisher.

first off the gave the wrong corner the 5/45 mil deal. They should have gave the more productive member (Johnson) the contract offer. Mr. "always bite on the dbl move" could have hit the door for all it matter..

Latest from Jenkins,

If I am the Rams I let him walk, good luck Jenkins or getting your pay. You are not worth what you think you are. Your mouth is writing checks your talent can't cash.

Sorry, but I had to laugh at that.

Held down the one side and forced the ball to the other side? Is he serious?

Nobody was afraid to throw his way. Does he think he is Revis island? He must if he thinks that is a low-ball offer.

I do think Jenks deserves to be paid but I think 9 million per year is pretty fair. I'm sure he's looking for more guaranteed money then what the Rams offered.

From day one I wanted Mr. Burnt gone. He is at best a 50/50 guy, half the time he guesses right and the other half he bites and gets beat.:L Let the punk go.:hope: Sign Tru and for a nice raise and go Gaines and draft a kid.

I am with the prevailing sentiment here. They gave the wrong guy that offer. Let him walk, secure Tru with the same offer. If Jenkins thinks he can get more money somewhere else let him keep drinking his agent's bullshit cool-aid and go for it ya' greedy half-wit!

I don't want Jenkins for $5-6 million a year. What an idiot turning down $9 million. I bet his agent quit on him.

Rams are stupid for even trying to give him $9 million a year.
