Kunin, Bellows, Gauthier...
Gauthier is a natural winger with great size and a vicious shot. His defensive play is uneven but that can come around. You can't coach size and he has that.

Basically, any of the above would be nice but they could all be gone by our pick.

Dreaming of Jost falling to us, but Kunin is still my safe pick. Seems like a ton of solid forwards, mostly college bound or already in college, around our pick.

I really want DeBrincat today. Not sure he makes sense at 17 though. I wonder if two 2nds can get them in to the early 20s.

heh, just read a mock that had him at 17 (flyers drafting Kunin at 18).. he's tiny (5' 7 - 170), but two 50 goal seasons in the OHL tells me he knows how to score.

i've done a lot of looking today.. seems like there's a plethora of 'mighty mite' options between 15-50.. could be a good draft for offensive potential, which is good for the Flyers. I wonder if that will have them looking more two-way/size guys at 17. Riley Tufte or Max Jones fit those a little better.

I'd still prefer going after offensive dynamism at 17, but it does look like the 2nd rounders could have some options there too. Guys with maybe 1st round skill, but are too small to be first rounders.

with Nashville's loss last night the Flyers pick 18th instead of 17th. believe it or not, the Flyers actually had a better regular season record than the preds via ROW tiebreaker.

One slot behind a team with different needs...it shouldn't be an issue....just annoying

Hmmmmm...both teams will be targeting scoring forwards, don't you think?

kinda crazy that the first canadian could go as low as 7th in this draft.

Are we really gonna take the 7th best center in the first round. I hope we can jump in front of Nashville and get Gauthier we need some size.

While this mock draft is interesting...it is simply another mock draft. Other than Matthews going first, all bets are off from 2 - 30. GM's have their own lists and there will be trades.

Glad to hear that I don't want to draft a center after 6 were already taken.

Growing up the best players play center. So the top of every draft is going to be heavy on "centers" even if they'll actually end up playing wing in the NHL. Schenn and Laughton are two examples of that. Cousins possibly too.
