I doubt that the second place team in the SEC west would be able to jump a B1G undefeated. Has a team that hasn't made their conference (one that has one) championship game be picked in this playoff format?

i'm still of the mindset that no undefeated team from a Power 5 would ever be left out. not even if their schedule was a complete cake walk like Iowa's last year.

that being said, i'm still waiting for the time that it really matters, when was the last time more than like 1 team has ended the season (including championship game) undefeated? it so rarely happens now a days with the longer schedule and championships.

Trickier is when you get to say:

Bama - 1 loss
Big Ten Champ - 1 loss
Big 12 Champ - 1 loss
Pac 12 Champ - 1 loss

I think that would happen before 3 undefeated teams.
