So do I on most days. Unfortunately, when you get older, consistency goes out the window when it comes movement. There are some days your body just does not do what you tell it to do anymore. When you get older you will understand.
I am probably as old as you and definitely older than Serena, but your obtuse commentary on age doesn't really apply to a super-athlete who SPECIFICALLY still moves better than 99% of the competition to the tune of winning 4 of the last 5 Slams. Seriously, just stop...

Murray's now been in 5 of the last 7 Aussie Finals.
Djok has been in 6 of the last 9, 5 of the last 6

...and Murray has lost every single one he has been in, and Djok has won every one.

It effects super athletes much more than the common schlub at the club level.

Murray Will be half dead and play a very very fresh and energized Noley and will be pushed from the top rung of the ladder down into the abyss and the curse will end with Noley. If the organizers find someone else to play Nole after the final then only will Noley fall keeping the trend of the curse intact. Even a ball boy will do the trick.

Why would he be half dead? Your reasoning makes no sense. It wasn't an extremely long/grueling match. This wasn't a 5 hour match and he has a full day off before the finals. Murray will be completely fine by 330 PM EST Sunday Morning.

Because he will have one less day to recover from his draining win over Raonic. He had to play his semis o

Understandable but it should not be a big deal IMO due to the fact that he's used to having 1 day off between matches. Both guys should be fresh

It won't really matter. Djokovic is on another level much like Nadal was when he served 130mph at the USO. These guys are products of the super-mutant era filled with questionable methods that can't be questioned by the average tennis followers like you and me. Its not tennis they play nowadays. It's something beyond that and the quality is inflated due to advanced racket and string technology and diet training technology. All they are is guinea pigs to the system that keeps pushing the envelope of tennis prowess so that money hungry sponsors and blood thirsty era audience can be satisfied.

spectacular effort from raonic

lost a lot of steam in the 4th and 5th sets, and i think that will be the case for him against elite movers and returners at majors

it's hard for the big guys to be able to grind for much more than 4 sets

tennis is more a game of movement than anything else in the top 5 these days. matches like this prove it.

Correct. It was first punch tennis most of the time, and there were very few grueling points.

It does help Nole to have that extra day, though.

No doubt but I don't think Murray is going to be fatigue or anything. He will be fine.

Nole in 4 close sets IMO

I have no plans to stay up late/wake up early for this one. Expecting a Serena win but women's tennis does not interest me

Australian open sets the bar for the least level of interest or importance among all the four slams. Just the fact that they can schedule the mens semis on different days gives us an indication of how jocular the proceedings are and the Djoker should be the most appropriate champion in keeping with its standards.

I just wish the Aussie Open went with the US Open thought process on the timing of the Men's SF and Finals. All 3 of those matches are played in the afternoon.

the most memorable men's finals of the past decade have been at the aussie open, and it's really not even close

Yeah. The 08 and 09 Wimbledon Finals were real snoozers. Not to mention 2014 :L
