If they're playing Pachula/McGee 60% of the time at center then I disagree and say they could definitely use an upgrade at the position. Maybe they need a wing scorer more but I think they'll do fine with the rotation of guys they currently have.

My how the tide has turned.

Just last Season, the media repeatedly savaged the 76ers.

Now they can do no wrong and it's all because of your young stud, Embiid.

Lakers or Sixers? Not even a question now, and the lack of a plan in L.A. is startling

I don't know about Rondo. I'm not too worried about locker room stuff. I feel like the Cavs are one of only a few locker rooms that could handle any personality.

I worry about his shooting. If the Cavs are gonna play a point guard that can't shoot... I think I'd rather see Liggins out there, a 6'6" lockdown defender. Rondo has playmaking abilities, but the Cavs are really built around perimeter shooting.

I mean, I'd rather have Rondo than an empty roster spot though.

That's a glowing endorsement.

Good, never liked Kanter. Looked like a poor man's version of a C-rated 70's **** star.
LOL I think that's Adams your talking about.

sure if they could just be given it-

but i think they proved last year that at the end of the day it doesent matter whether they have home court or not---- that actually getting to the Finals rested and healthy is MUCH more important than an extra home game.
The only thing they proved last year is that a team does need LUCK to win a championship.

Again, it just really depends on the matchup. I can see what you're saying from an insurance point of view, but really it's not a huge need. The Warriors actually lead the league in blocks and are 6th in the NBA in rebounding. They're also #1 in defensive efficiency in the NBA.

Legitimately the only teams the Warriors could use another defensive big against is the Grizzlies and maybe the Jazz. All other teams, the Warriors have a distinct matchup advantage. Jordan for the clips isn't a threat on the inside and you'd welcome him to take as many shots as he wants. Aldridge and Gasol both play a lot on the perimeter so you would need a mobile big to guard them, not a paint protector. You have no need for another big against, Houston, OKC, Portland and Denver, who all like to play small at times. Even against the Cavs, they don't need another defensive big. They need one that could guard on the perimeter. Toronto and Boston are similar in this fashion as well.

Logistically it doesn't make sense to take up another roster spot at this point. The need becomes more centralized to secondary scoring, since the Warriors defense is predicated on switching and quick doubles to the post with excellent rotations.
The problem I see is that most guards take advantage of going to the rim when Pachulia is in there. And a lot of those lay-ups are good. When McGee is in the game that changes but he's not the starter. Playing catch up in terms of points isn't how they want to play. This is especially the case when their jumpers aren't falling.

I have a feeling you will end up with Rondo by buyout or trade.

He's a malcontent.

But, he fits a need.

Would he be worth the risk when he starts shit in the Lockerroom?
Well the bright side is he'd have little to do in terms of getting the locker room cracking...seems the team's leader has taken on that responsibility- and has been pretty successful! :heh:

Westbrook and Melo would be in a tug of war for the ball by the 5th game.
Honestly, I think Russ enjoys being the only star. We'll see though- if he helps recruit other max players or not.

Not even last season. Beginning of this season, everyone was saying how the Lakers were putting it together. I've maintained that L.A. is a mess and that the Deng/Mozgov contracts will eventually screw them over.
however one wants to fashion it--- at the very least its evident that the Sixers are in much better shape than the Lakers are.

Yeah, the money looks bad.

But, they needed to stabilize that lockerroom.

Can't have a roster full of diaper dandies.

The Lakers got off to a fast start. But, the losing is not really surprising.

They have looked awful, lately, and seems to have regressed.

But, they are only one back in the win column of the Timberpups who have a hell of alot more young talent.

It's gonna take some time for both of those Teams.

I expect the 76ers to be last years Jazz.

Great Season, showing staunch improvement. But,barely missing out on the playoffs....

When you do, Please draft Lonzo Ball.

One Superstar is worth more than two good players...imo

Philly has a potential Stud.

...and we haven't even seen what Simmons can do.

Agree.

He will get tired of the losing and will learn to share in a Season or two.
Yep- but I wonder which team he will be playing for. OKC has proven they're not willing to spend to get quality guys that will make a difference.
