i would say that even with the rising of the cap- 40M a year is a good deal for a guy who is a high level al lstar- not to mention a hometown guy and guarantee to draw eyeballs. If LEBron wants to take that deal Gilbert will give it to him. I dont think LeBron wants to commit like 5 years like that though- i doubt he does.

plus, guy just turned 32....he has a long time left to go - especially if they take care of him and he takes care of himself....knock on wood- the guy has still never had a major injury in his entire life- he is a freak of nature just looking at him/

from rotoworld:

LeBron James' concerns about the Cavaliers' leadership is "centered on payroll spending," according to Brian Windhorst of ESPN.

The report adds James and owner Dan Gilbert "have different views on the issue, and it has been straining the relationship." The Cavs cleared out a roster spot with the Kyle Korver deal and reduced the payroll. If the team added a player, it would cost them the new contract plus an additional $2.50 per dollar in tax. James is now leading the NBA in minutes per game, but the Cavs really need wins to take the national spotlight off them.

I thought he was going to take it easy during the regular season?

Doesn't seem like its directed at everyone. Seems like it directed at certain players but guess they're making a general statement to avoid throwing that one player under the bus.

MCW didn't play during the big meltdown.

Didn't that overgrown cuckold want his boy Tristan Kardashian to get $85 mil. Gasp, now the Cavs have zero room to operate with the salary cap to add other quality players. Lebron's about to learn that so long as he's on his current deal where he doesn't have an opt out; Gilbert has steel monolith's for shoulders. By the time ol' Bron Bron's contract is up he's going to be 34/35. Even the people of Cleveland aren't stupid where they think Lebron will still be the clear cut best player in the game at that point.

Lebron apparently didn't learn everything in Miami after. Basic arithmetic escaped his highness.

The Cavs homers will come up with a creative spin on it.

I have less of an issue with Wade doing it than Bron though. LBJ team is the defending champs. Can even make a case that they got a little better with the addition of Korver once JR returns so throwing his team under the bus is a little ridiculous. I really understand Wade frustration. It really hurts when you're giving it your all while you see other guys on the roster not playing as hard. I don't agree with the public way of going about it but Wade frustration is much easier to understand than Lebron. Wade is right when he say that these losses should not hurt him more than these young guys. Guy is a 3 time champ, finals MVP, and been to the finals 5X. No way in hell should any L bother him more than these guys who never won anything.

I agree that Wade doing it is more justified than Lebron doing it. But it still shouldn't happen unless he has already said the same thing in the locker room multiple times and there's been no change. However, if that is the case, then he should call those players out by name because rather than just generalizing. I guarantee you just about everyone on that team thinks he's not talking about them.

do you think the Cavs give a fuck if they dont have home court against hte Rockets or Spurs?

The Rockets? No.

The Spurs? The Cavs are stupid if they wouldn't want HCA vs. the Spurs.
