I caught it late but it seems like Monroe pushed Nick Young then Russell pushed Monroe afterwards. I believe Young got ejected because he received a T which was his 2nd of the night. Have no idea why they ejected Russell. Also didn't see what Young did to get ejected.

Monroe looked like the troublemaker from what I saw.

They should suspend Monroe and the Greek Freak just because for the game with the Dubs.

Saw it in slow motion - Brogdon got into Knick Young's face with a foul - Young got pissed and pushed Brogdon, but it was really a baby push that average player wouldn't have felt, but Monroe took exception and smacked Young in the face and Russell then pushed Monroe - Young and Russell and Monroe got ejected. Young because he got a technical and it was the second technical for the night -

LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles Lakers guards Nick Young and D'Angelo Russell and Milwaukee Bucks center Greg Monroe have been ejected after a shoving fracas in the third quarter.

The brouhaha started when Milwaukee's Malcolm Brogdon delivered a hard foul to Young with 36 seconds left in the quarter Thursday night.

Young shoved Brogdon, and Monroe quickly shoved Young. Russell and Lakers rookie Brandon Ingram then both engaged with Monroe while every player on the court joined the fray.

The officials called double technical fouls on Russell and Monroe, ejecting them both. Young had a technical foul earlier in the game, and he was ejected for his second T.

Young had 16 points and Russell had 14. Monroe had 12 points for the Bucks, who took an 84-77 lead into the fourth.

Don't care. I just want Monroe and Giankdljspfakjdpafjkd suspended for their next game so they lose.

The fish looked pretty good.

Anyway, SO MANY of these guys are friends.
During the games, of course they compete, but once it's over I think the fans take losses harder then the players.

Knick Young pushed on a player for what was an excessive foul, Monroe tried to smack him in the face, and Russell got ejected with him - I didn't see what his part was
Nick Young took offense to a hard foul taht wasnt even that bad- shoved the guy that fouled him- and then Monroe blew him up by shoving him in the neck.

i bet Monroe is suspended at least one game. Maybe Young too.

I agree.
The original foul wasn't bad at all.
Stupid to react like that in general, let alone if you already have 1 T from earlier.

have the Lakers won many fights the last few years? lol

You'll soon enough find out what happens when you go from championship level to rebuild.
To get/maintain a championship level you pretty much lose current or future assets during that cycle.

Lakers fucked up with Nash/Howard, but at the time the move seemed needed to try to compete with the Heat.

Middle Tennessee didn't seem like an upset,

Yeah, I picked them in my bracket because there is always at least one 5 vs. 12 game where the #12 team wins and that one seemed most likely. Still technically an upset though.

So far only 5 double digit seeds and 6 lower seeded teams have advanced in almost 30 games. 1 or 2 near buzzer beaters and no huge upsets(top 4 seeds losing) is boring.

I haven't been able to see as many of the games as I normally do, but I agree, from the little I've seen it doesn't seem like there have been as many upsets or games coming down to the wire as usual. Maybe that'll change in the 2nd round?

Young over reacted, but I see players get shoved like that in every game so it wasn't that bad. Monte went cocompletely off

well it was a move made just to add "stars" with really not much analysis into how they would fit and work together, and what their long term health prognosis were.

It would have been like if the Cavs spent all their assets to go and get Carmelo right now just to add another "star" to compete with the Warriors 4 stars. Fit matters, health history matters. I mean- i realize in retrospect it seems easy to say that Howard and Kobe working was bound to fail- but there were certainly signs that Dwight being immature and Kobe needing to be "the guy" -, and NAsh's health issues- that there would be major problems to the point where Howard took less money to leave Los Angeles.

the CAvs were in a similar position at the end of LeBron's first run- the cupboard was BEYOND bare from years of making "win now" trades for guys like Shaq, Jamison, Szerbiack, Ben Wallace, etc- combined with never getting a decent first round pick because LEBron was too good to ever let you sink beneath a certain level. The difference is- the Cavs did a much better job at adding extra picks early on in there rebuild-- I mean- KYRIE IRVING- is an extra pick they acquired, and did a much better job at keeping flexibility to their payroll.

The difference this time for the Cavs is Kyrie is only 24 years old, Thompson just turned 26, Love is 28, Shumpert is 26. They have a nice mix between old vets like Jefferson, Frye, Korver, Williams, - and guys that are still in their primes or have not even reached their primes yet.

Nice Monday morning quarterbacking.

It was a move that every single team in the league would have made if given the opportunity.

Couldn't blame the Lakers brass at the time for making that move. Had it resulted in a title, it would've been well worth it to go into mediocrity for a few years. They took their shot and missed.

Not even close. Melo is old and starting to decline. Howard was in his prime. Nash, while old, was coming off an all star caliber season.

Exactly. As I posted earlier, every GM in the league makes that move if they have the chance. Considering how many times the Lakers have had big trades turn out great for them over the years, they were probably overdue to have one blow up in their face.

Hopefully, the fact that it was a nuclear bomb that blew up in their face will make things right with the basketball gods and trades can start working out well for them again. lol

Iirc Nash was 38/39 and yeah, he had a very productive season prior to the trade. It just happened that as soon as he put on Lakers purple, father time caught up in a hurry.

gotta remember though- there were other moves as well.

They also dealt a 1st rounder, and a pick swap to the Cavs for Ramon Sessions, so the Cavs would help the Lakers save money on Luke Walton's contract.

they dealt a 1st rounder to the Rockets so the Rockets took Derek Fisher off their hands. Lakers Acquire Sessions and Trade Fisher to Rockets

in my mind- those deals set the stage for what in restrospect is the abysmal Suns trade- they didnt have enough assets or first rounders available for Nash and Howard- so they had to trade first round picks FAR into the future- and when you do that you are taking some big risks because you just dont know how the future is going to shape up. I mean- they still owe Orlando a first rounder in the Howard deal (though that extinguishes if they keep their pick this year), and- they of course still owe out one of the picks (the pick that Philly owns) in the Nash deal.
