#2 is wrong. Those 2 are putting up gaudier basic stats, but you wouldn't take either over LeBron, simple fact. He's the MVP and has been 6 years+ running.
What does you not taking them over Lebron have to do with whether or not they are having better seasons?
Of course you wouldn't take them over Lebron, he's the best player in the game. But that doesn't mean he's having the best season. Stats are what the award is mainly based on and Westbrook and Harden are having better seasons statistically.
And Westbrook is on the verge of doing something that has happened only once in league history.
