I loved the way Al horford played tonight....such a smart and skilled basketball player.

He's a bum

I was never a believer in him. He cannot be the 2nd guy on a team. He is a 3rd or 4th guy who does not deserve max money or whatever Boston gave him.

THE BIG PROBLEM: Tristan Thompson vs. Al Horford is an issue

The Celtics’ big addition last summer was Al Horford, and Horford has been great for Boston. It hasn’t been his best season, but he has helped make Boston better and he finished with nine points, 10 boards and 10 assists on his way to a plus-11. He was great. But there was one problem: Tristan Thompson ate him alive on the glass.

This was a problem for Horford in Atlanta, where the Cavs swept the Hawks the past two years. This is something to watch in a series. The Cavaliers have 17 second-chance points to only six for the Celtics. That’s a concern going forward.

Cavs took 9 more shots in the 4th qtr then the Celts.

More reasons why Boston should have made a trade. Even if they did not want to pull the trigger on a blockbuster, at least get another big who could help on the glass.

Bogut would have helped them IMO, but if you are choosing to play with LeBron or I.T., its really no choice at all.

Thompson played a solid game.

last time they played Horford went 3/9 for 6 pts and 1 rebound. LOL.

thompson has outplayed him overall. horford had a solid game last night, but tristan is too quick for him.

i hate that the cavs had to start shumpert and frye against the celtics- i dont mind starting shumpert against certain teams- but you have to be able to make thomas pay on the defensive end- they can just hide thomas on shumpert since shumpert isnt a threat really to score a bunch of points.

JR smith will present serious problems for the celtics- they can put avery bradley on kyrie all they wanat- thomas will have to guard either JR or korver or deron williams and thats a gonna be a problem for them.

Cleveland vs Boston : avoid cause they bore us.

I recommend you all avoid watching the game(except the Boston and Cleveland areas).

Horford has regresses quite a bit this year, it's one of the worst years of his career, especially shooting wise, he's usually a mid 50's % guy, he's at 45% right now, and not averaging as many points per game or RPG.

there is no video evidence...didnt it happen in some podunk high school gym in the middle of nowhere Pennsylvania? nba was kind of a joke back then.

And you're a joke now

Wilt would be great in todays NBA as well, not the inflated numbers, but he'd be a top Center.

Shump and Fry prob even wont be in rotation once Love/JR are back.

Agree on Tristan in this instance.
Celts might win 1 in a playoff series assuming Cavs are healthy.
Rebounding and extra possessions are very important, and Celts did nothing to address their deficiencies.

You do realize that NBA were heavily televised until the mid 80s right?

I wouldn't be surprised since you act like you born in the mid 90s.
i seriously have no clue what kind of point you are making. Its been a well established fact for years that there was no taping of the Wilts 100 point game by the league - or anyone else- until in 2014- this crackpot said he had a tape of PART of it.

I dunno- 100 pts game in a podunk gym in Pennslyvania in basically a high school gym is just not nearly as impressive to me as what Kobe did.

You are right- Wilt had special athleticism- he was the "lebron" of his day.

No shit

No reason to demean the beginning of the NBA by saying it's a joke, or make fun of them for playing in High School Gyms.

All sports had to start somewhere, you still hear almost all baseball fans refer to Babe Ruth as the greatest player of all time, basketball is the only sport I always see that routinely shits on the great players at the beginning of the sport.

TJL slowly but surely is becoming my favorite poster...or at least top 5. I like the cut of your jib, sir.

I think Tristan is a better comparison.

I don't think he was comparing LeBron to Wilt as literally, just in the fact that they are both the athletic specimens of their era.

But I disagree, because Russell was just as athletic as Wilt, just not as tall.
