You blew a 3-1 lead
and they should be even BETTER this year....I was shocked they even got their considering they were down Brantley, Carrasco, Salazar....

add in a full year of Andrew Miller- signing the best FA in the market in Encarnacion, getting Carrasco, Salazar and Brantley back....

and the best manager in the game.....Tribe is gonna be even better than last year! It should be a VERY fun summer between the Cavs and Indians that is for sure.

3 month AV bet says they don't make the playoffs?

Baseball's so tricky with rosters. You have a good idea who's in contention for the title as you can group about 6-8 teams together. But yeah, MLB isn't like the NBA where you know who's going to the Finals well in advance; it falls more inline with the NFL.

And Francona has a terrible tendency of having his teams be complacent after a great year.

Or just allowing them to get shit faced in the locker room during games.

and someone said LeBron would never play for Gilbert again....

In a way then, I'm correct because Gilbert plays for James.

Worked out well for all of them, no doubt, but please don't make it seem like James/Gilbert are friendly.

Yeah baseball is really hit or miss. The only teams a lock to make the playoffs IMO are the Cubs and Red Sox

In baseball, given the choice between any single team and the "field" -- I'd always take the field.

I just checked 3 sites that predict upcoming season. 2/3 had Indians winning most games in AL -- the other had them winning 92 ... RedSox winning 93. (Indians 2nd)

But didn't you say Warriors got worse when they added Durant because of who they lost?

As far as the Tribe,I dn't follow baseball much, but you're as good as your pitchers and they have good ones.

Red Sox are definitely stacked as well....i coudlnt fault anyone that picks them over the Tribe- but i have the Tribe for a few reasons

1. Tribe has Francona- who is awesome

2. The Tribe's bullpen is just nasty- especially in October- having Allen, miller, shaw, logan is amazing.

3. With Ortiz retiring the Red Sox rely on a LOT of really young hitters and those guys arent always the best in the postseason

4. Tribe will hopefully- be adding a healthy Brantley and Encarnacion to an already good offense. Thats pretty crazy.

I know I'm late to the party, but man the KANGZ really out KANGZED themselves there.

A 23 year old mediocre rookie and a mid 1st round pick for the best center in the NBA???

The Suns got more picks for Goran Dragic (heading into his FA year) than they did for Cousins. This is unreal.

They did get worse, and you'll see when it comes playoff time that they got worse.

Some people did.
Just figured you might have been one of them, if not, good for you.
Shows you're not always delusional.
of course you get durant 10 times out of 10 giving up Barnes and Bogut and whoever else....especially since they were able to keep Iggy and Livingston.

Where the Warriors are going to run into problems is next year becuase if they sign both Curry and Durant to maxes- they have pretty much nothing to retain or sign free agents for anything but the minimum- besides 1 guy to the mini-mid level - which is extremely small (the Cavs used theirs on RJ).

literally- the Warriors bench next year is probably going to look abysmal. They wont even have Bird Rights on Livingston or Iggy since they need to renounce both to make the cap room necessary to resign Durant.

The Cavs next year will still have practically their entire roster if they decide to use Bird Rights to resign Korver- which i think they will- the Warriors will be dumpster diving for guys from 5-15 on their roster.

Considering the pressure on Durant- they have more urgency to win it this year then even the Cavs do considering i do not see how it is possible there roster next year will be as good as there roster this year.

I read a rumor about 2 weeks ago that the Suns made a big effort to bring Cousins to Phoenix to play with Bledsoe and Booker- in a deal that got them FAR more than the Pels offered....that is strange isnt it?

I saw Warren, Len and at leaest 2 first rounders....the Suns first rounder being much better than the Pels obviously...strrange

Yeah, saw a Kings fan tweet "remember the Suns offers we made fun of last week, bring them back!" lmao.

Would've been Warren, Len, our 2017 pick (MUCH higher than the Pels) and a Miami 1st rounder that we own, plus Knight was available as well. Not sure why the Kings didn't take that deal. I like Warren more than Hield and our pick more than theirs.... by a bit.
