That same person says he thinks Tristan>Whiteside....
so take it with a grain of salt

As I said before, if it involves the Cavs, Heat and/or Lakers don't take anything Wiggy says seriously. The picture perfect definition of homerism.

Given that Wiggy thought Kyrie is so good that he thought Steph *played* in the Olympics and that Irving is so much better that Steph couldn't get minutes. I'd venture to say that the Dubs could be added to Wiggy's homerism list.

Here is the difference with you and I.

I will acknowledge that he was not the same Steph as he was before the injury. I just didn't agree with some Warriors fan using that as an excuse especially after they were up 3-1 vs Cleveland.

Makes perfect sense to me.

Has there been one person (excluding Cavs fans) who said they want Kyrie over Wall? Seem cut and dry
Having LeBron there to set up teammates makes Kyrie's shooting more valuable to the Cavs, but if we're starting a franchise with one it's Wall.

Clearly Steph's fault.

The best posts in the summer was that Durant being added did little to improve the team. Those were gems.

But...they have no depth!

Wall is a really underrated defender too. I think he's done a lot to improve his overall game, so much so that I would probably consider taking him over Dame too if I were starting a team.

yet Kyrie Irving was the starting point guard for the Olympic team.

Its about talent. Its why the players themselves voted Kyrie as the best guard in the East. What Kyrie does best- beat elite defenses- he does better than ANYTHING John Wall does. you can compensate for Kyrie's shortcomings else where on the team.

John Wall is never gonna put up 40 in a finals game or 57 @ San Antonio- he is never going to hit the type of shots being d'd up like Kyrie has.

ALL AROUND- sure. I get it. But what Kyrie's best traits- are what make him special- things that cant be replicated.

plus- a guy like Kyrie - that can play off the ball or the point- is more valauble then a pure PG. The league is SWARMING with good point guards.
1. Kyrie starting the Olympic team doesn't prove anything, he gets more attention and plays on a better team.
2. The players also voted Melo over Love, Thompson over Horford and Dwight, and Wade over Kemba and Beal. None of those I agree with for this season, the players aren't always right.
3. Wall wasn't gifted a cakewalk into the finals by LeBron joining his team, and if he made the finals I think he could put up a 25 and 15 type of game which would be very impressive. And I've already said Kyrie is a better scorer which is why it's not as surprising he scored 40 points and 57 points, basketball isn't just about scoring.

@WiggyRuss

When are you answering post 12480?

Everyone is waiting with baited breath..:juggle:
im just wondering what it has to do with anything that we were talking about.

You were trying to compare Tristan Thompson to Joel ANthony and Chris Anderson- and after i made you look like a complete and total ass clown- you started whining about how the Heat won 2 titles- and that somehow makes Thompsn the same as Anthony and Anderson? I mean - you are joking right?

Pics or it didn't happen. Because I have no recollection of this happening.

Lillard reminds me of Kyrie, both are scoring PG's who are great shooters and decent playmakers. I'd take Wall over him too, but like I said with Kyrie I'd love to have Lillard on the Kings(and they could have had him but chose Thomas Robinson instead:L).

If you honestly comprehended our discussion that way, I pity any
current or future client(s) you may have.
I never said any such thing.
You dont find it alarming when everyone else gets it but you?

You could have a back court right now of Dame and Klay to pair with Boogie.

I only mention this because the Warriors took Todd Fuller over Kobe Bryant and Adonal Foyle over Tracy McGrady in consecutive years.

Vivek so badly wants the Kings to become the Warriors that he even copies them by passing twice on all star caliber guards in the draft, maybe that means in 15-20 years the Kings will win a title thanks to another team being stupid in the lottery. I would have rather them taken Kawhi over Klay in that 2011(?) draft, but they both beat choosing Jimmer.

The Pistons and Magic have discussed a trade that would send Reggie Jackson to Orlando for D.J. Augustin and Jeff Green, league sources say.

I think I was arguing with someone (maybe Hurricane) that I thought Jackson was extremely overrated. Looks like the Pistons feel the same way if they're going to dump him for cap space.
