convince me that insulting the best player in the game during the Finals is a good idea. LOL.
Klay got what was coming to him. He poked the bear- and the bear ate him.
yah....Kyrie slipped getting out of the shower last night...i almost caught him but was a little slo.......wait, did i write that outloud?
I could do that in my sleep.
Heat- after their loss to the pathetic Magic....was listening to Haberstroh- said that while the rest of the guys were saying how the team didnt play good defense- Whiteside was saying how he held his guy in check- while also being subbed out 3 minutes into the game.
Whiteside was subbed out by coach Erik Spoelstra three minutes into the game, with the Heat getting outrebounded 9-1 and outscored 10-2.
"He just took me out because the guy got a rebound," Whiteside said. "Went over my head. Happens, man. I lead the league in rebounds, the last time I checked."
Later, when asked about the lack of help on the late 3 by Fournier, Whiteside said his responsibility was to contain a drive -- and pointed out Vucevic shot 4 for 14 against him.
"I call that good defense," Whiteside said.
thats what every coach wants to here-- "I call that good defense" in a game they lost to the Magic.
I understand why he doesnt help on Fournier- its not in his skill set.I'm sure Haberstroh won't tell you anything about what Hassan said today though right. The guy clearly has something against Hassan. Everytime you post something about Hassan, it is coming from Haberstroh.
The last time the Raptors defeated the Bulls, Lebron was still in Miami and Steve Kerr was still at TNT
Spo taking out the league leader in rebounds during the first 3 minutes due to lack of rebounds was beyond lame. I don't think you would find a beat writer in Miami who agrees with that move. Whiteside still ended up with 19 boards. It's as stupid as taking out a PG in the first 3 minutes because he didn't pick up assist. It was a stupid move so I understand why Hassan was frustrated after the game. He was much better today.
i dont think Ibaka "moves the needle"- but he helps.Raptors aren't winning anything.
Ibaka doesn't even move the needle.
I know most people don't watch much Heat, but this version of James Johnson is a better player than Ibaka.
Raptors weren't even close to getting that type of play from him.
and was reading an interesting article today.
The avaliable back court guys in the NBA is almost zero.
look at all of these trades...they are ALMOST all big men...its the only guys that are on the market.....Ibaka, Nurkick, Plumlee, Plumlee, Hibbert, Okafor is being sat becuase of trade speculation....Vucevic is out there, Gallo is out there.
there were saying how just about ALL the big man deals from the last offseason have been AWFUL.
Mahimi, Mozgov, Ezeli, Noah, Plumlee, Biyombo, -- all DISASTERS.
the only GOOD signing was freaking Dwight Howard considering them oney....Ryan Anderson was decent- not great/not bad....
there are basically no back-court guys on the trade market.
I left him off mostly becuase he didnt move...most of all those other guys moved....in fact i think all didFunny how you leave Whiteside off your list.
Wasn't he a max FA last summer?
i dont think Ibaka "moves the needle"- but he helps.
I mean- he is really not much better than Patrick Patterson at this point--- but its just the fact that IBaka will be playing the minutes that their bench bigs- who , one is a 7 foot rookie who is useless, and the other was Pascal Siam.
Now at least they have a solid 3 man rotation for the playoffs--- IBaka basically replaces Biyombo......Valuncinas/Patterson/Ibaka......
thats a lot better than Valuncinas/Patterson/some combination of a 7 foot rookie who is in way over his head and Pascal Siam.
