So could Durant. So could Curry.

no doubt he can....hes been the best player in the game for the better part of a decade and is already at 32 AT THE VERY VERY VERY LEAST a top 10 player ever. As long as he goes to the Finals EVERY SINGLE YEAR he can do whatever the F he wants to.

As soon as he starts going south a few years from now thats gonna change- but as of right now- he has F you power over whoever.

Could, being the operative word. Lebron did.

Durant could leave. Steph could leave. Both could stay. It's a toss up. But nothing in their history dictates either will act this way when it's in their power to do so.

Lebron and everyone else in the world knew this was the case when he signed with Cleveland. But I guess for Lebron he needs that power to mold the team as he see's fit.

But we all know what LeBron's ultimate motivation is... winning. So I don't see why that's a negative.

exactly...if it aint broke why fix it? lol...dudes been to 6 straight Finals. He is doing something right. thats just insane in todays 30 team NBA. It really shouldnt happen.

I know many Cavs fans are happy that LeBron is holding Gilbert's feet to the fire in terms of making sure the owner is just as driven as he is.

or going 6-4 in the Finals?

some people might pick 6-1----- im going to pick 6-4 becuase that means you still won the same amount of championships- but you also won your conference 3 more times which is not a small accomplishment by ANY means.

I personally don't view his move as a negative. I've never said otherwise.

I do think that it takes away, somewhat, from the potential the winning can do to his legacy - at to least some extent... but if KD's cool with that - more power to him. That's actually admirable in its own way.

I would say 6-1. The reason is because IMO winning counts more when you've done it on the big stage for all the marbles.

Yes, I agree.. but weeks like this mean nothing when it comes to the grand scheme of looking at LeBron's legacy.

The only move LeBron has used his power to force that could've hurt his legacy - IMO - was the firing of Blatt. And in the end that move actually helped it.

Now if he forces a melo trade this week and the Cavs start sucking and lose in the 2nd round... that could have some sort of impact on his legacy.

To date... I can't think of a personnel move that was seemingly forced by LeBron that seems like a big mistake.

I hear ya. But in KD's case his move actually improved his OVERALL play. Hard to see that as anything but impressive IMO.

Oh, let me be clear. Maybe I got into a conversation that I didn't realize I was getting into.

I haven't and wouldn't call Durant a bitch for his move. My post about Durant still being a bad guy was meant in humor.

Like I said to @LAD, I think KD had every right to make his decision and there are some things that are actually admirable about it. I think that any winning he achieves with the Warriors will never be able to do for his legacy what winning in OKC or somewhere else would... but if Durant doesn't care, then cool.
