Who? Westbrook and Harden?

Westbrook averages more rebounds than Durant, Cousins, Thompson, Greene.....actually, it would be easies to list the 10 guys that don't average less than him.
Well RW clearly is the exception. But even still if a guard is averaging the same amount of rebounds as a SF then I can't say the SF is rebounding GREAT. I can get on board with he's an AVERAGE rebounder. But not great.

I think he can be....

Well, if he wasn't meandering behind the 3 pt line.

When Amare was in bubble wrap and Melo played the 4, he had great rebounding stats .

Until this Season, Durant was under 7 rpg for his career.

He boards now because he has to.

Exactly. The bold is why I never criticized either of them for doing what they did. Why wait until you are old and no longer an elite player to chase rings when you can do it when you're younger and be one of the main guys? Especially if you have already given the team you're leaving ample opportunity to get you what you need to win.

If you're an NBA player, what are your career goals? To make as much money as possible and to win championships.

Durant took a Max salary AND joined a team that gave him the best opportunity to win a championship. I fail to see how what he did was a bitch move. If he took a lesser salary so that he could team up with individuals (see Lebron/Wade/Bosh with Miami), then that could be scrutinized.

When Lebron went back to Cleveland, it was under the premise that he could basically hold the organization hostage. Lebron took 1 and 1 contracts with the team, when it didn't benefit him to do so in a financial capacity. Durant is opting for the 1 and 1 now because it makes financial sense with the upcoming new CBA.

Lebron from day 1 has held tremendous leverage over the Cavs who have pretty much bent to his will. Gilbert has paid the highest payroll in the league and the highest luxury tax in history. He's had a head coach fired and both campaigned for big contracts for teammates then complained when they have no financial flexibility. He's told the team that they needed to bring in James Jones and keep him on the roster when he provides no real use and then complains about not having better players on his roster.

GTFO.

It's called " I'm sad that you out stacked my stacked roster ".

Lebron is a serial Team stacker.

They got Wendy's in Ohio? There's an outside chance that at some point in the future I could find myself living in Chillicothe. Hope they have Wendy's there. I don't remember if they had one or not from the last time I was there. I do remember that they had a White Castle, which you can't get out here unless it's the freezer section of the grocery store.
yah....Wendys is from columbus...its pretty awesome--- one is right down the street from where i work

i audibled though- going to the parents and ordering some wings and watching the game iwth my brother

as to our argument- hey its cool- like i said- we are just going to have to agree to disagree on this one- its obvious at this point that neither one us is changing the others opinion.

I mean, it wouldn't matter if he was a good or great rebounder anyway.

He still can't save the Cavs.

Lebron better reserve a private Island come June with no Tv, phones or Internet service.

Short of getting Cousins on ritalin, Cj Mccolum, 1995 Reggie Miller and 2008 Ray Allen....

They are cooked.

LOL Well we were talking about Melo's rebounding because it was suggested they give up TT for him.

Oh, hell no....lol

He is the only defender on that roster outside of Lebron.

I would honestly give up Blake before I'd give up Jordan for Melo.

That goes double for keeping Tristan over Love because one guy never misses games and the other has Steve Nash syndrome.

Wait....same can be said about Blake...lol

i think you make some valid points- i just dont agree-

I think it was a cowardly move to give up and join the team where you just blew a 3-1 lead to. It would have been like when LeBron lost to the Celtics in 7 and Pierce outdueled him in that amazing game where they each had like 40- that he then went and joined the Celtics the next year. ITs like cmon dude, you are really gonna go jump on the Warriors dick after they just embarassed you by beating you in the playoffs after you hd a 3-1 lead?--- plus- its not like Durant was alone and doing it all on his own- he had another top 5 player in the game in RW and some nice support pieces--- you know who LeBron's 2nd highest scorer was in that series against Boston? The Great Delonte "Reds" West.

anyway- i dont think its like a huge deal or anything- but i do think its an interesting subplot and definitely makes the NBA season more interesting. I think its hilarious how RW just refuses to acknowledge Durant- and I DEFINITELY think that Durant generally- OKC Durant or GSW Durant were both fake kinda guys that portrayed this aww-shucks- lets do the Campbells soup tv-ad with my mom persona that was just so - for lack of a better word- GOOBERISH. The guy who makes sure every tatoo is under his jersey just to make sure he doesnt offend anyone or not play into that awwshucks image. http://deadspin.com/5824418/kevin-durant-is-not-ashamed-of-his-business-tats. Though- i do have to give him credit that he kind of has sacked up a little bit more this year and actually doesnt seem like a timid robot. Its no wonder why RW run-rough-shod over this guy and that he could never truly assert himself. Its the BEST thing that ever happened to Durant going to a situation where he can rely on others and has another MVP by him because if he didnt- i dont see the LeBron or Kobe or Curry or Dirk or Pierce or even RW in him where he could grab the bull by the horns and get it done.

and as for LeBron- hey man- again- i think you make some VERY valid points. LeBron can be a DICK at times. I think he has done dumb stuff in the past and i think complaining in the media was dumb- IF ONLY because it just cuts your gm's legs out from undere him any trade negotiation...what the hell are you gonna do when you are an opposing GM and are in trade talks and you both are holding out for one last piece or asset- and you hear LeBron whining on TV about a NEED for the team? - of course you are going to have the leverage then. It was not only impetuous by LeBron- it was hurtful to the teams trade negotiations.

However, the upside of all this- and why LeBron is who he is- is because this is who he is- last year the Cavs were coming off going to 6 games without their 2nd and 3rd best players- and were 1st in the Eastern Conference- and they FIRED their coach because LeBron thought they could do better. Ya know what? he was right. Right now- he also has somewhat of a point- i think the Cavs made a mistake keeping Chris Anderson AND James Jones on the roster if they wanted to have 2 developmental spots on the roster for Felder and McRae. Have a couple injuries- Mo Williams dupes you- and all of a sudden bodies are a little short--- lose JR-- and try and integrate Korver at the same time- obviously theres gonna be problems.

LeBron at least has balls and apologizes to no one- he doesnt "cover up his tatoos" if you will forgive the metaphor (though literal as well). Hes never satisfied- hes always bitching, no matter who you are whether its mike brown, pat riley, david grififn, dan gilbert, erik spoestra or even ty lue- hes gonna bitch about you if he doesnt get his way- its just who he is.

If Durant steps up grows a pair, and shows me he is a guy that can rise up when the occasion calls for it like my boy Kyrie did last year--- then maybe ill change my opinion of him. Certainly- LeBron changed a LOT of opinions after shitting away that Mavericks series. But as of right now- I think that if Durant should have to serve Thompson, Curry and Green their coffee every morning in a pink tutu after throwing away his pride and joining the team that just punked him.

its kind of ridiculous how important Tristan is to the Cavs...look i get it- its Tristan Thompson- but when you watch on a nightly basis- you see that on defense he is the only thing holding it together on nights LeBron is half-assing it defensively- (him and Love's defensive rebounding.)

He can do that to any franchise.. no matter what the Miami guys try to tell you.

So could Durant. So could Curry.

Could, being the operative word. Lebron did.

Durant could leave. Steph could leave. Both could stay. It's a toss up. But nothing in their history dictates either will act this way when it's in their power to do so.

Lebron and everyone else in the world knew this was the case when he signed with Cleveland. But I guess for Lebron he needs that power to mold the team as he see's fit.
