Fun game. Those kids need to learn how to hang onto a lead. Even with guys out, you need to be able to hold a 19 point lead.

Meh.If you keep your pick and don't take Giles, it's worth it.

Package pick with a player and maybe steal a Star on a good contract.

You can see improvement. That's what matters most since everyone outside of the Warriors and Cavs are just playing for participation ribbons.

Merry Christmas to my NBA poster friends. Happy Holidays to those that don't celebrate Christmas.

Didn't realize how bad the West is after OKC. Currently the Blazers are holding on to the 8th spot at 13-18. They're 6 losses behind spots 5-7.

Oh, I know. It's part of the learning process. They'll get it eventually. Over the last few years, there haven't been many 19 point leads to blow, so that alone is an improvement.

Nick Young, of all people, summed it up best: "We forgot what got us there. Teams put pressure on us and then we try to play one-on-one. We have to play team ball and play smart."

I wouldn't mind a trade for a star on a good contract, but I'd want it without giving up any of the young core, which probably isn't likely, unless they can find a team looking to blow it up and start over.

I think everybody is just assuming it's gonna be Cleveland vs Golden State. I say don't assume anything.

We've seen different Finals before than what was expected.

The only team that can prevent a Warriors/Cavs finals IMO is the Spurs.

True, But I also don't remember a time when there has been this much separation between the top teams in each conference and everyone else.

Once Lebron went to Cleveland with Kyrie and Love, it left the Cavs with no real threat in the East. Barring a season ending injury to Lebron, or a major trade that significantly improves the Wizards or Raptors, it would be an upset of almost biblical proportions for the Cavs not to come out of the East.

Before Durant went to GSW, OKC, the Spurs and the Clippers were all threats. Now, it's probably just the Spurs and I'm not sure how much of a threat they are with Durant fitting in like he's been in GSW his whole career.

So to catch up.......the Bulls are the team I like the most to possibly come out of the East. Followed by the Raps.

The Bulls are a dangerous team imo as long as they are healthy. Wade isn't the same player he once was but in a series he can still be a big time contributor. Butler is a stud and he can defend James as good as anybody in the league. They could also put Wade on James for short stretches and use him when they want to double LeBron.

And Gibson and Lopez are solid defenders.

If Cleveland is healthy then no team in the east can win 4 of 7. I'm not even sure any team can take them 7 in the East. I think the Bulls can be really competitive and make Cleveland really work for a series win but unless they make some moves by the deadline then I don't see it happening.

Before the season my wild card was Indy but they are a year away. They have a lot of new players finding their way. The Hornets could be a team to be considered before all is said and done.

I really like the Bulls because of their defense, 2nd best in the East.

Other than team injury, I agree. I really don't think the Spurs are as much of a threat as some are giving them credit for being though.

And the Clipps aren't going to be a cakewalk either. They won me some SportsHoopla cash last night although the Spurs were the fave.
