So its November 24th and the Warriors won games by the following margin:

23,26, 21, 24, 37, and 43.

And remember they started off the year kind of slow by their standards.

Soft part of the schedule though. But clearly they are starting to click.

It's a very troubling trend....for the rest of the league that is.

The one thing they need to focus on though is putting McGee to the fire as that's the weak part on this team right now - rim protection.

For as good as the Dubs look right now, that's the one thing that's the deep concern with this team as their title hopes may fall on McGee of all people to play an efficient series against the Spurs/Clips/Cavs in possibly 3 straight rounds.

Obviously they are aware of this, and maybe it's McGee and maybe they trade for someone.

Yeah I actually been avoiding watching their games unless it is close in the 2nd half because I'm expecting a easy/blowout win. Next time I probably watch most of a Warriors game is December 7th when they visit the Clippers

I agree. Thing is, who are you going to trade? It'll be interesting to watch the Dubs in February in terms of moves.

Promising bench guys like McCaw, Clark, and Looney plus draft picks, some combo of that should net a defense only rim protector from some noncontender. Not sure who though....Mozgov?

You're probably right. I don't like the idea of the Dubs giving up Clark as McCaw seems promising. But I guess if it shores up your paint defense, you have little choice.

Interesting trade idea. Moz(if healthy) would kinda be for the "Bogut" role and defend your basket. and it might might not be that hard to pry him loose from the Lakers...

not that i'd cry. STILL no fan of that contract...

Tyson Chandler or Asik.

Mozgov makes to much.

The Warriors would have to string to many contracts together and depth would suffer further.

How about Noel on the Sixers? They need guards, don't need all those big guys...

all of these people trying to rip on the Celtics - and despite their injuries they are 1 game out of the 2nd seed.

James also had his 44th career triple-double (31 points, 13 assists, 10 rebounds), breaking a tie with Fat Lever for the sixth most in NBA history. It's also the 20th time he has had 30 points in a triple-double. No other player in the past 30 seasons has more than 14 such games.

Now that is crazy.

Who's trying to rip them ? They were without crowder and horford most of the season. No surprise that they're winning now that both are back . I actually said last week its not fair to judge them due to all the injuries they were having

Hassan Whiteside wouldn’t take the bait.

Before the Heat’s game Wednesday night at Detroit, the 7-footer was given a chance to declare himself the best center in the Eastern Conference; or at least put himself in the same category as Detroit’s All-Star, Andre Drummond.

No dice.

“It’s not about the best center or anything like that,” said Whiteside, preferring the politically correct response. “I’m just trying to come out here and get wins. I don’t look for recognition because then you get disappointed.”

Although Whiteside and Drummond took different routes to NBA stardom, there is no denying their impact.

Whiteside entered the game averaging 18.8 points, 15.9 rebounds and 2.69 blocks. His rebounding average led the NBA and his blocks was second. Drummond wasn’t far behind, averaging 14.6 points, 13.9 rebounds (second in the NBA) and 1 block.

“Hassan Whiteside is playing as well as any big man in the league. His numbers are mind-boggling,” said Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy. “To be averaging 19 points and 16 rebounds, that’s incredible work in this league. He’s gotten a lot better. He seems very comfortable in their system and with their guys.”

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra didn’t think there was much separation, at least from a talent standpoint, between Drummond and his big man.

“For as much talk around the league about small ball, there’s a lot of good centers right now,” Spoelstra said. “I love it for Hassan. He’s shouldering a lot of responsibility for us. He has to play at a high level for us to win. He’s really embracing that.”

Spoelstra also was given an opportunity to proclaim Whiteside the East’s best center.

“He’s one of the top centers in the league, forget about the East,” Spoelstra said. “Drummond has already proven that.”

Van Gundy has been impressed with Whiteside’s dedication and commitment to becoming an elite player, especially considering the years he spent trying to simply earn an NBA roster spot.

“Hassan Whiteside is a great lesson for other players and for those of us making personnel decisions in the league,” Van Gundy said. “With any player, but especially big guys, sometimes it doesn’t happen overnight. You can’t give up on players.”

Whiteside was looking forward to facing Drummond, although again, he gave the safe answer.

“Waking up in the morning, I ate my bowl of cereal. That brings out the best in me,” Whiteside said. “Looking up to the sky and realizing how blessed I am, that’s brings the best out of me. Every game, I come out to compete.”

Who is on your list of "all of these people"?

Does it really matter where teams 2-8 end up? We know who's making the Finals out of the East already. The rest are fighting to see who gets to lose in the ECF.

Basically. There is nothing to see out East. In the West there is really nothing to see until late May

If the Clippers can keep this play up against the Warriors AND in the playoffs while the Spurs improve on the defensive side of the ball, it could be more than just a cakewalk for GSW. Hopefully someone can knock off the super duper team so we don't get the same finals 3 years in a row.

I'm really hoping so but the bad thing is if someone knocks off GSW, it likely means another Cavs title. I prefer both not make it but Cleveland is making it unless Boston or Toronto makes a huge move at the deadline. Toronto is really not that far away IMO from competing with Cleveland. They also are still missing Sullinger but they need another small piece or 2.
