Cavs are in no position to rest any healthy players.
They're playing like shit.
They could fall to 3 seed.

Maybe these teams/players should quit worrying about analytics and sports science and just play the games?

I don't think seeding is important for the Cavs......more than getting their defense in sync. Their defense is obviously glaringly bad. Like really bad. They have time to fix it, but all this resting hasn't allowed this team to gel as much. The defense is a significant concern and resting at this point is doing more harm than good as they'll need it once the Spurs or Dubs come in the Finals.

I disagree.
Owners don't have to just keep throwing these crazy max contracts to 2nd tier players.
You think Hawks should give Millsap 140+M?

Toronto is going nowhere without Lowry as good as DeRozan is. Unless they want to be one of those middle of the road eastern conference teams who make the playoffs but is eliminated in round 1 or 2 every year then yeah you don't try to bring him back

With this current roster, they're basically 1 or 2 role players away from making the finals in the east.

How about Whiteside tonight?
Pretty impressive for most players on any night.
He's playing with a fresh 13 stitches in his shooting hand.

If there's a medical reason to rest Love, then fine.
You said rest Big 3.
I can't even imagine a scenario where James would sit tomorrow after what we saw yesterday and vs Lakers.

James would look like hypocrite if he sat any of the 2 games this weekend. Based on what he said last night, seems like the Cavs need more work as a group before the playoffs start. Playoffs are basically 3 weeks away and very unlikely the cavs are playing their guys in the final 2 or 3 games of the season so basically they have 2+ weeks to get their act together and start playing better defense as a group.

I think with or without they're not getting over the hump.
I'm not sure of their cap situation.
If they pay him, I understand, but we've seen there show before.

If they don't pay him then they need to find a solid PG who is not as expensive.

Injured his ankle as well and remained in the game. Tough SOB

Hopefully the ankles is ok tomorrow.
Like I was trying to tell Wiggy yesterday, he's figured it out.
Talking about his past shouldn't be in any current conversation.
He went from loser to team leader.

They can evaluate everything at seasons end.
DeRozan would prob be pissed if they don't keep him.

Am I the only one who doesn't believe Toronto is gonna pay Lowry?

28 million per?

Screw that.
I don't think they should either.

Yeah it wouldn't be fair to DeRozan if they don't do their best to bring back Lowry. He re-signed with them under the impressions that he will be playing deep into May for quite a while. Letting Lowry go basically is the end of that
