How about those boys in Swifty eh? Always nice to see them do well. I like to see the cities is small towns succeed and it doesn't get any smaller than Swift Current, in least in terms of being able to field a WHL team. The Tigers got a huge OT win to tie their series with Lethbridge at 2. It's now a best of 3.

I watched that game last night (thanks Shaw) and if the Tigers keep playing like they did last night, they'll take the series. Outshot Lethbridge 59-30 and must have hit 5 or 6 posts, the final score didn't reflect the domination of the Tigers over the Hurricanes.

Well, the Tigers are one game away from elimination after a 5-4 loss tonight in game 5. I hate to pin the blame on one player, but the Tigers goalie Buillon played brutal tonight. Come on man, make a save.

Tigers force game 7 with a 5-2 win in Lethbridge tonight. Also, Swift Current and Regina are also going to a game 7 in their series.

Well, it will be Regina versus the winner of Medicine Hat / Lethbridge for the WHL Eastern Conference championship.

Wild night in the Q. Bathurst had blown a 3-1 series lead and got blown out in Game 7.

Chicoutimi took a 3-2 series lead into Rouyn-Noranda (2-3-2 format since RN is in the middle of nowhere) and got blown out last night in game 6 setting the stage for tonight's game 7. RN leads 3-1 but Chicoutimi gets within 1 with about 10 minutes left. Then with just under 3 minutes to play Chicoutimi takes a double-minor for high sticking but they managed to score a shorty with their net empty to tie it. Then they kill off the rest of the double-minor and score the OT winner to complete the upset.

OHL had a wild one as well.

Erie beats London in OT in game 7
London had scored three times within about 2 minutes in the first period to chase the starting goalie.
Erie scored in the final second in the 1st period to get back within 1
back and forth game, and it was London who scored with a minute left in the 3rd to get to OT

That's two 5-4 OT losses in the last 24 hours for the teams I support.

Sorry Man

Thanks JF - I wonder if the Tigers and Shaun Clouston part ways, he's been there for some time now and while they had a very successful regular season, this is a disappointing playoff defeat. Talking to people in the know in the Hat, he's not exactly a great guy to get along with either.

/I see that Everett and Kevin Constantine parted company this week.

I think it was cause they didn't beat Seattle

Well 2 teams that went into the Q semis undefeated in the playoffs and whom everyone predicted to meet in the finals are both getting their first true test in the Final-4. After 4 games the Charlottetown Islanders trail the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada 3-1 and my Saint John Sea Dogs are now tied 2-2 with the Chicoutimi Sagueneens. I wasn't expecting another Sea Dogs sweep but didn't think the series would be this close either.

For the 4th time in their 12 year history. the Sea Dogs are off to the Q league finals after defeating the Chicoutimi Sagueneens today in a wild 6-5 game to win the series 4-2.

The Sea Dogs will face their 2005 expansion cousins the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada (formerly the Montreal Junior and St John's Fog Devils) in the finals. The Armada are coming off an impressive upset defeating the Charlottetown Islanders in 5 games.

Regina Pats make it to the WHL final for the first time since 1984.
Seattle Thunderbirds are the other finalist, who haven't been there since... last year.

Tigers should be kicking themselves, I don't know if they would have beaten the Pats, but I think it would have been a heck of a series.

/As long as Lethbridge is out, it's all good.
