If Sandoval is a "risk", McGehee is an ocean of risk.

He easily could be a .230 hitter this year, 5 HR's and bleh defense.

We have a hole in the lineup at LF and when Pagan gets hurt (because he will miss 40+ games). We'll have a hole in LF and a offensive hole in CF.

Cain should be better, that's a boost. But Hudson might decline and we downgraded our 5th SP from Vogelsong to Lincecum.

We can say Belt will stay healthy and have a great season, but it's also likely Panik takes a step back.


I'm perfectly fine with this offseason. Kept farm system in tact, no long-term money spent. 3 WS is amazing. But IDK how this team is better than last year's

I still believe if we don't get Shields that we will re-sign Vogey. I think that's why we haven't signed Vogey yet, and that's why he hasn't signed elsewhere.

That's for next year, with Lincecums, Scutaros, and Hudson's money off the books. Also, no one cares what you'd like to see. I'd like to see fans let the best GM in team history and perhaps the best in baseball work.

If they do it will be just like those years...late in the season if he doesn't have anything left. He will start the season as the 5th starter. It's his last year, he gets his last shot. If he pitches adequately for that slot he stays, if not he gets demoted midyear for Petit or a rookie, and no hard feelings.

No matter what it's his last year. But they are going into the season with him as the 5th starter. All this offseason it's been right in front of our faces what they are doing, I get why fans want more but jeez, it's not hard to see what the team is up to.
