Not sure where he got a threat from your post, veiled or otherwise. You are the most even-keeled poster here (yes, even more so than tz), so for anyone to take anything you say as a threat is quite surprising.

I am not sure I agree. Unless you believe that the org has no intention of allowing Timmeh to get the rotation spot back, I don't see room for Vogey.

I understand what you are saying, but IMHO the FO knows we had issues last year with the SP's, and now everyone is a year older which makes our situation worse. A quality starter like Shields or Max would improve us and create insurance. Adding Vogey would just add insurance, but we need that, and I suspect we can afford it.

Would I rather have Shields or Scherzer under my tree? Sure. But Peavy's a very nice stocking stuffer, as long as Santa brings a premium present. Moncada would be nice at this point. I would not be disappointed if we settled for Rasmus.
