Byron Buxton rejoins Twins after Aaron Hicks is placed on DL | Big League Stew - Yahoo Sports

"After returning to full health, Buxton returned to action in the minors on August 7 and he's been absolutely crushing Triple-A pitching, hitting .400/.441/.545 in 13 games with Rochester.

If he can hit like that with the Twins, it won't be long before he improves upon his .189 career major-league batting average."

:hope:

Those are promising numbers. The big difference between AAA pitchers and big league pitchers, is the ability to consistently hit their spots.

Flip side is, it's only a 2 week sample.

:hope:

Great 2nd inning for Twins, but wtf? Escobar thrown out at home again. :L. Could've been 1st and 3rd with one out.... with possibility of more damage.

Duffey cruising!

Sano would be on pace for 40 homers! Could he be the 1st since Killebrew?

If Sano could reduce his strikeout rate, he'll be a very dangerous player.

So I guess they decided to bring a few runs across the plate last night eh?

Duffey looking good and Sano crushing. I'm lovin' it!

The next Adam Dunn?

I wouldn't go that far. Sano's potentially a much better hitter. If he can produce 40 homers and 40 doubles over a season, hitting above .270, with that strikeout rate? I could live with it.... but I think he'll be able to cut that down without sacrificing anything.

I was kind of kidding but yeah, maybe he'll settle in to more of a Mike Trout like HR/K ratio.. :)

Give me Sanos Ks that come with high discipline over Rosario swing at pitches neck high over and over and fucking over again.

That homer he hit off tomlin that was legit over his head was the worst thing that could happen. He will just keep swinging at them now.

And the Os immediately answer.

It's fundamental baseball and that's why we lose

Interesting strategy bringing Milone in. that was his bullpen session!
