Meanwhile, down in AAA, Arcia has been stuck at 9 homers and his BA is down to .232

And Mauer is still our leading home run hitter from the left side with 6.

Do you enjoy losing? That would clear up a lot.

Incredible that you are still trying to argue we don't need left handed help.

I've never said that. Period! I've only stated that Arcia AIN'T THAT GUY. Not yet, anyway.

Yes, yes he is. He's proven it at every level. Up here and at AAA. You are cherry picking 1 stretch when he shouldn't even be down there.

You ever planning on telling me when we've last had a guy with 34 and 100 RBI in the amount of ABs Arcia had? Hint...keep dodging it because there isn't a good answer since we've been bad.

We have no left handed bats and no guys that take walks.

How did the Jays beat us? They drew walks and then clubbed us to death with run producers.

You win by scoring runs. It actually could not get any simpler.

But yeah. Shane Robinson is the answer!!! So is Suzuki!! And our 4 short stops!! And our regulars who all can't get on base!!!

We have the easiest lineup in the world to pitch too.

Don't throw Sano a strike and make him walk. Plouffe will hit into a DP. Torii and Eddie will swing at anything. Mauer can't hit with no one on. Dozier can't hit with men on. Hicks can't hit from the left side.

That's a great cast of regulars.

I get it. I do. But pitchers started to pick up on Arcia. He doesn't walk, or get on base. At all. Boom or bust with the guy, and now that pitchers have faced him, and there are scouting reports on him, he's REALLY struggling. He needs to figure it out.

Never said Suzuki or Robinson was the answer either.

Dude. Have you looked at the OBPs on our team? Who does walk? They are all embarrassing. Torri and Rosario don't walk at all. Plouffe has a bad OBP and if you counts his DPs its worse.

Sano walks and that's about it. Dozier and Mauer are streaky with it. Hicks will work counts but can't hit 1 side.

There are no arguments against Arcia because his struggles are what our guys are doing every single game. It's hypocritical. And Arcia produces simply put.

And he gets intentionally walked. Pitchers don't fear our righties at all.

What scouting reports are you talking about? He didn't struggle in the majors so....

And in the minors he has always mashed AAA pitchers didn't finally figure him out for 2 months lol.

Arcia, Kepler and Pierzynski should be on this team.

There is no argument against it.

We just have the dumbest GM in sports. Trades away a pitching prospect for journeyman reliever lol

Prior to this season, he batted .241 with 244 strikeouts, in 200 games.

In 19 games this year, he had 2 extra base hits (home runs), and drew only 4 walks. Not exactly setting the world on fire.

I would have LOVED to have added AJ... but was he even available? What was the cost?

Yes he was available we even looked into it. Couldn't have cost more than what we gave up for Jepsen.

A strikeout is better than a Plouffe DP. Dozier has 104 Ks at lead off.

Arcia was hitting .275 and trending up. Now he's got lack of power in small sample and the average isn't good enough?

He's not Mike trout here. He's no more flawed than what we currently have and fills a need...lefty bat to play against righties. Hicks, Rosario and Torii can hold it down vs lefties.

We can't even pitch anymore. God we got embarrassed this week.

Get May back in the rotation and stop halting another players development.

Ouch. Swept by the Jays. That effin sucks. Twins just do not have the pitching to stand up against all those big bats in that lineup. To be honest, I feel sorry for any pitcher that has to face that ridiculous lineup even if it’s King Felix himself. The key to beating the Blue Jays is to just make sure you put up 20 runs and then you should be ok…

The good news is that tonight the Twins face Cody Anderson who has given up 14 runs in his last three starts. Let’s hope the Twins can keep those good times rolling.

Even when we were winning, our pitching was performing better than expected, and we were plating the few runners we did get. Our RISPs were insane through mid-June (over .300--down to .275 now (amazingly still good for 6th in MLB. Talk about equity!)), but our other stats were middle of the pack or worse. Hell... even our team BA has only fallen from .252 to .247 since the middle of June.

Meanwhile, Plouffe is leading the team in RBIs...

Just funnin' ya here... RBIs are an over-emphasised metric.

Plouffe is hitting with men in scoring position. Like Mauer and like Suzuki.

But like everyone else he's also a liability. Can't get on base if a guy isn't in scoring position and hits into 2 outs more than any player in baseball.

As sad as it is that we had to resort to bunting in the 3rd inning after a lead off single.

It worked!! 5 runs!!

Please god don't let us blow this.

In Twins' history, only Marty Cordova had more HRs in first 33 games (8), than Sano (7). Marty. Freaking. Cordova.

Anybody remember that guy?

But what a performance by Sano and Hicks, yesterday.

Nothing wrong with looking for bright spots.
