Love pulled during that possession.
Nothing else needs to be said.

Difference imo, is that in Miami it was about preserving energy for the playoffs, not because he didn't like the coach.

'

I honestly don't think he wasn't playing hard at times cause he didn't like Blatt.
James coaches himself.

:noidea: Cavs fans seem to be implying that his effort is better since Blatt was fired.

It has, but that only makes sense that he'd go full throttle after the change.
He knows his body very well.
He'll go back to pacing himself a bit.
James plays for rings.
He'll make sure hes fresh as possible for when it counts.

James wanted no part of that shot, or the FTs after the rebound, and who would blame him?

the Big 3 played great- but man...Tristan Thompson 7/7 for 14 points, 12 rebounds....great game...you have to play tough to win in Indiana- and that they definitely did that tonight.

Love with 19, Kyrie with 25, LeBron with 24...very good balance again. Good game. First win in Indy in a long time...

Its definitely close for me- and I understand how Whiteside has the potential to be a force- but a couple things are in my head- first - right now i think the stats say the Heat actually give up less points with Whiteside on the bench then on the floor

The Heat defense are now not better with Whiteside off the court

@WiggyRuss

Over the first two months of the season, Miami’s defense allowed over eight more points per 100 possessions with Whiteside on the court. That trend did a 180-degree turn in January, with the Heat allowing just 96.8 points per 100 possessions with Whiteside on the floor, and 102.7 points per 100 possessions with Whiteside off the court. That figure with Whiteside on the floor would have led the NBA in January.

In the 43 fourth-quarter minutes Whiteside played in January, Miami allowed just 86.5 points per 100 possessions.

Cavs offense degraded to Hero Iso Ball in the 4th. (both Lebron & Kyrie)

It is relatively easy to run the offense and move the ball in the early part of game. The measure will be in the 4th quarter when things aren't going well against a good team -- what will the offense look like ?

Myles Turner played great.

Love had a huge 3 and a HUGE block in OT.
Love played really well last night- especially defensively...nice couple blocks, couple steals...all around a very solid game for him....good to see...its obvious he stays more engaged defensively when he the other guys keep him involved on the offensive end....good stuff. For all the doom and gloom- the Cavs are an NBA best 10-1 in their last 11 road games.....you would think the sky is falling in Cleveland the way you see some haters act. pshhh...

Looks like he's figuring out that there is more to defense than blocking shots. Seems like this kid is just making himself more and more money as the season progresses.

The kid barely played a full season. He's obviously learning on the fly.

Yep and that flip in Miami's defense with him on the floor from earlier in the season shows that he's actually paying attention to his coaching and learning from it.
