It was a great dunk. It was a facial. In the NBA when someone else gets dunked on everyone loves it. Get over yourself.

As far as Winslow points tonight, for the 980th time this season he is a rookie and at the moment is an inconsistent scorer. Both of those were known since January. Nobody expected Winslow to come in here and be some offensive juggernaut.
i know i know it was an awesome dunk...

im just saying -its funny that it was his only 2 points of the game...lol....

Whiteside actually played over 30 minutes and had a huge game against Drummond tonight who I think is prob the best center inthe game.

just saying- in a game of - i believe the top 2 SFs taken in the draft- Winslow and JOhnson...Stanley Johnson kinda smoked Winslow.

Johnson lead all bench scorers with 14 points. 4/7 from 3....4 rebounds, 3 assists...thats some nice bench production from the rook.

Comparing the 2 at this point in their careers is pretty stupid. They're asked to different things for their respective teams. One guy is shooting over 8 shots per game in 20 minutes while the other is barely getting 5 shots in 7 more minutes. Johnson is the better offensive player at this point (which everybody knew prior to the draft in June) and is asked more to do more on offense. Winslow on the other hand isn't asked to do anything on offense. If he hits an occasional spot up 3 that's great. I think Heat fans are very pleased with Winslow 6 PPG off the bench and his solid defense.

when you have a wing player on your team play 27 minutes a night and only score 5.8 pts on 42% shooting- that puts a lot of pressure on the rest of the offense. In todays league where 3 pt shooting matters so much, you better get a LOT out of that player on defense to make it worth it.

just an update on our 3 pt bet bskballer- the Heat are currently tied for 25/26th 32.4%.....getting into the top half of the league is going to be very difficult. ;)

I did not see that bet. I do work and barely look at this thread unless I'm posting in here. I would gladly take it. All they have to do is shoot is 1% better than they did last year. Better shooting team this year and are a lock to shoot more than 33%. Last year they shot .339% from 3 and finished 24th. The Rockets shot .348% from 3 and finished 14th. Easy bet

For the 981st time he is a rookie. You're talking about the guy like he's some guy in his 9th season putting up those numbers. Get back to me about Winslow in 2 years. If he still putting up those offensive numbers then you can talk. 27 games into his 1st NBA season is pretty ridiculous. You had some stupid expectations of Winslow offensive game that nobody in basketball had about him. Everyone knew in June Winslow offensive game is a work in progress. There is no need to bring it up every day.

And also can you stop bringing up the bet? I never backed down from a bet. At the end of 82 games you can talk about the bet. 55 games is still left in the season.

Mo is their 3rd string PG? LOL.

They better not rely on Delly too much.

LeBron came back to the Cavs- they are awesome, traded for Kevin Love and have Kyrie Irving

and the Lakers suck again. HA

Are the Cavs going to break the Bulls record for most wins? :pound:

Hey, I'll take Ben Simmons and throw a huge deal at Whiteside.

G-Russell
G-Clarkson
F-Simmons
F-Randle
C-Whiteside

Even a moron would acknowledge that's a scary good young lineup.

I don't think that's exactly how he intended that to happen.

Thought the little queef had me on ignore. Oh well.....I can school his bitch ass all day long.

LOL...i did...I do....just had a little Christmas time merriment and thought id check, and i was just laughing my ass off I had to say something.

DJ...theres nothing you can say man. Its all been said dude. You know it. I know it.

On Christmas day when you are sitting down getting ready to watch the days premier game- a game that everyone in the league is looking forward too- the heavy favorites in each conference-

Cavaliers vs. Warriors

just think that I was right. You were wrong. LeBron did come back. The Cavs are awesome. Suck it.

did enjoy that vintage Kobe the other night- but as i said- this is year, what? 4? that the LAkers will not win a playoff game? ......

and that lineup you think would be "awesome". DJ- in the West- where would that even rank? Does that lineup have one guy who would be an all star sometime in the next 2 years? maybe- but probably not. And thats ASSUMING you get the #1 pick. You could go that way- go young- but you would have to acknowledge that that 4 years without a playoff win would likely be AT LEAST 6 years- and it would only change if Simmons and Russell are the real deal- far from something you can assume.

I do like Randle- think hes real legit. I think he could be an all star in a year or two- but I couldnt put him on it for sure just because PF is so freaking loaded.

ill catchya again in a couple months maybe.

Merry Xmas!

Cavs get so much tougher on defense with Shumpert back. He is a damn good defender. I love Shumpert at something like between your 4th and 6th best player. Thats good depth.

I think thats one of the reasons why the Cavs can hopefully breeze through the East again like last year in the playoffs- of course you have Kyrie, LeBron, Love....as good as it gets for 3 guys in the entire league.

the next tier of guys is really strong. Thompson, Mozgov, Shumpert, Delly, JR, Mo.

When Shumpert and Delly and JR and Mo are your 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th best players, you have some real depth and can play a variety of lineups.

The Cavs really couldnt play small that effectively these first couple months without KYrie and Shumpert. I cant wait to see some of those lineups once Kyrie gets going. They wont let him go passed 20 minutes and he looks - not surprisingly- rusty.

Delly again- 7 assists, 1 turnover and played great defense. What a great find by David Griffin.

IF I had to rank the Cavs in importance- i would have to go something like:

Bron
KI
Love
Thompson
Shumpert
Mozgov
Delly
JR
Mo
Jefferson
Varejao
Jones

So the Lakers' plan is to tank this year to get a high pick ?

I remember when the Cavs took crap from Lakers' fans for pulling this the year before they took Wiggins.

CL and Trjoan - please dont mind me arguing with DJ... i like what the Lakers are doing to a certian extent

but the thing is- when idiots like DJ just assume big stuff is going to happen on a tight time schedule because they had a couple high picks it pisses me off so bad.

The Cavs had #1, and #4, and then #4, and then #1, and then #1...and it took years for them to gather the right assets- have hit and misses in the draft- and then for them to put it together

the Thunder? REmember that awesome first round series a while back now between the Lakers and Thunder where i think the Thunder pushed the Lakers to 6 games? Forgive me if I am wrong but i think that was durants either 3rd or 4th year and RWs 2nd or 3rd year....and that was only just to MAKE the 1st round with 2 guys that were AMAZING hits in the draft

you look at Minnesota- two very highly rated #1 OVERALL guys- Wiggins and Towns.not too mention a VERY highly rated lotto pick in Rubio, other talent like Lavine, Shabazz- and they have 11 wins- because the guys are SOO young..

to do the rebuild it takes about 3-4 years to acquire the guys- and then another year or two to go from asset acquisiton mode- to actually figuring out who can play and what the needs are in free agency and who you can attract....its a long freaking progress.
