Hmm, let's see how I did on my prediction.

Looks like the only thing missing is talking about how Arison is a cheap ass.

Not only that, he's getting defensive with 'us'.
Did any of us write the article quoting him?
Did any of us try to guess what his thoughts/intentions were?

Only reason I posted it was because IMO, it was just another case of James running his mouth for no good reason, just like he did after the Pistons loss.

Cavs beat up the Hawks tonight....

Missing 3/5 of their starting lineup- but a nice win vs. the Hawks.....

Kevin Love is playing all star caliber basketball right now.

Are the Heat gonna have the indignity of giving up the Sixers first win? AT HOME nonetheless? They gotta have a run in them at home I would think. That would be kinda embarrassing.

Milwaukee looks bad
Sixers can play some defense- but i saw miami had like 65 on them in the 2nd half....

You can see the talent here and there when you play the Sixers they are just horrible, BEYOND horrible, at finishing games....they need so much better guard play its ridiculous....

Oh I had to give you what you expected. LOL....

and seriously though - I mean it as a 100% total GOOD thing that it looks like the Lakers have a really good shot at keeping their pick. You add one more big time rookie talent to the team with Russell and Randle and you would have the beginning of what would hopefully be a good core- hope that - ideally- 2 out of 3 of those guys develop into all star caliber players- as tough as that is to do.

Milwaukee looks bad
yah.....I watched both of their games against the CAvs- and obviously they won one of them in double OT- but its a team that operates with a small margin of error because they have no kind of 3 pt shooting. Their defense is really good but their is just something that is sitll missing their. They need Jabari Parker to develo pinto a go-to offensive guy- because as good as Giannis is- I dont know if he is a guy you want as your go-to offensive guy down the stretch...OJ Mayo just coming back should help them.

The other thing is- I think the Pacers are actually pretty good- I mean- Paul George IS arguably the 2nd best player in the EAst after LeBron- and they added some decent pieces to that team.

Paul George is at 25 pts, 9 rebounds and almost 5 assists per game right now. Hes an All-Star no doubt. They have some depth and really good coaching in INdiana. Just a team that is a good organization and is always tough.

Speaking of.
What an egg Urban/Buckeyes layed yesterday.
Wonder how long until his 'health and family' problems kick in?

Karma though, he writes his book, publicly rips FSU for how they punished Winston for the crab leg thing, and then lets his under age QB go basically penalty free ( a week later) after he's caught driving drunk.

In all seriousness. I'm not concerned one way or the other re: the pick. It's top 3 protected, so it may be a little difficult to hang on to if the young guys continue to improve and other teams start actively tanking.

The one thing I want to see, is the young guys playing A LOT. I think Byron needs to give the keys to Russell and let him drive. If they end up being bad enough to keep the pick, that's fine. If not, then maybe it's because they improved enough to make themselves attractive to a top FA or 2.

that was ridiculous. I went to watch the game at my buddys and everyone was yelling at the TV. How- on a day like that- that Ezekial Elliot ONLY gets 12 carries is RIDICULOUS.

And seriously- the ONLY 2 TD's the Buckeyes scored were off turnovers deep in Michigan State terriotory. This is why I said what I did about Cardale being the starter a few weeks back- I think that Barrett is usually more consistent than Cardale- and Cardale can do stupid things- but defenses HAVE TO RESPECT Cardale throwing the ball deep. MSU did not respect the Bucks throwing the ball deep AT ALL.

That loss was definitely on the coaching staff- did you watch the game? dont you have to agree? Its a shame they basically wasted their chances at a repeat with such a freaking stacked team that just might send the most first rounders EVER to an NFL draft- but in the grand scheme of things- its hard to stay pissed off at Urban Meyer for too long. They definitely wasted an opportunity.

Seriously though- from what I have read- its POSSIBLE the Bucks have as many as 8 first round picks- the record is Miami with 5 if i am not mistaken. Bosa, Elliot, Decker, Washington- are pretty much guaranteed first rounders - Lee, Thomas and Bell COULD be--- I definitely think Bell will be a late first rounder....Perry, Braxton Miller and Marshall have outside chances- but none of those guys will likely last passed the 2nd round.

Whiteside is currently avg 14.8 PPG, 11.1 RPG, & 4.8 BPG through 12 games.

I wonder how soon will opponents just start settling for jumpshots when he is in the game?

Until he faces a big man that is more skilled than he is and knows how to maneuver around him, I'd figure it'll be a while.

Cavs are 5th in offense at 103.9 ppg and 6th in defense right now with 96.7 ppg Thats some pretty awesome balance. ESPECIALLY considering the last 2 games they have played without Kyrie Irving, Mo Williams, Iman Shumpert, and Timo Mozgov- 3/5ths of their starting lineup.

Kevin Love has really played great ball. ALL STAR level ball. LeBron has of course been his transcendent self. The Cavs were 19-20 at one point last year- until they finally got healthy and got everyone together and then took off- and went like what? 33-3 the last 36 games Love, KI and Bron played together? Something like that....

IT would be pretty cool if they could keep up this pace and be in such great position for when they finally get healthy and hit that groove again. It should be a fun season.
