a 4 year college player averaging 5 points a game? guys like that are AFTER THOUGHTS. Remember Boobie Gibson? lol....solid player- nothing special- if Richardosn has his career he will have hit the fucking powerball.

Comparing those 2 is pretty dumb. He isn't some one dimensional player. He can do several things well. It is no shock that the Heat play their best defense whenever he and Winslow are the floor together. Gibson was a grade F defender.

His avg is so low because he was still getting adjusted to the NBA in the first few months and was working with the Heat Staff on his shot. He avg 2 PPG in very limited minutes in 23 games in the first half of the season. Was sent to the D-League a few times to work on different aspects of the game. In 15 games, since the ASB he is avg 10 PPG and really good 3 point shooting. He is getting better and better

Fact
Beasley has 83 points in 7 games.
McRoberts 119 in 37.
McRoberts got a long term contract

while Beasley scrounged in China

do you know why?

because GM's dont like guys that they cant count on to keep their heads on straight.

a 4 year college player that wasnt even that good at Tennessee? LOL dude you are delusional. 15 games?

If at anytime in his ENTIRE CAREER- he ever has a significant moment as Gibson did his rookie year in the playoffs i would be BLOWN AWAY.

a corpse that could hit a 3 would get a shot with the Heat with how terrible of a job Riley did at adding shooters to that team. If Richardson is even with the Heat 3 years from now I would be absolutely shocked.

a defensive specialist and head case center? yah. without a second thought. The best asset in the NBA is a young all star on a long term contract. Griffin would LAUGH Riley off the phone if he got that offer though
Yet you praise JR like he isn't a head case. All that making it rain in the clubs don't mean crap when you disappear in crunch time.

does it surprise you that a 4 year college player was one of the more NBA ready guys- and that a guy that has ANY KIND OF SHOT at all- could finally find some rotation time on the worst 3 pt shooting team in the league? GMAFB

Some rotation time?
He's earned minutes over Wade and should have been on the court last night instead of Wade.
Just being on the court doesn't mean you can shoot lights out from 3 like he has.
Maybe he'll educate you a bit tomorrow night.
Have you seen his highlight dunks?
Hes the real deal, who plays a complete game.

He didn't get inserted into the Heat rotation because he can shoot 3's. Also there were quite a few 4 year college player guys selected in the draft but keep taking credit from Richardson as you do with every single Heat player. And most of those 4 year college/NBA ready guys were taking in round 1. He's outperforming all of them

hes shot 64 3's in his NBA career.

at Tennessee in 4 years he shot 31% from 3.

Mathew Dellavadova is undrafted and is a much better player.

No.
Because Riley made a mistake.
I watched the Rockets broadcast tonight.
Everyone there loves Beasley.
As much as I want him here, he's personally and career wise in a better place there.

I'll bet you anything you want that they pick up their option on him.

If you think the only reason Richardson was inserted into the Heat rotation, you're a retard. He is already better than Norris Cole ever was in Miami.

If he wasn't good at Tennessee, he would not have been drafted. You don't get drafted by "not being good" at a struggling program like Tennessee. You just don't. This guy who wasn't good at UT somehow manage to end up First Team All SEC and was voted on to the ALL SEC Defensive team. Avg 16,4, and 4 last year but he wasn't good lol

Safe to say he already worked on his biggest weaknesses.

Strengths

  • Great defender
  • Good athlete
  • Learned how to play the point this season
  • Hard worker
  • Great teammate
  • Length

Weaknesses

  • Needs to gain size and strength
  • Working on jump shot mechanics and NBA range

I'm glad that he didn't thrive offensively in college.
I'd never even heard of him.
He's prob the steal of the draft.
CBS ranked him 9th, and Winslow 7th in this years class so far, and they both improve nightly.
Glad you're happy with Delly though.

And not every player is draft worthy in their freshman or sophomore year which is why you work on your game in the 4 years to become good enough to be one of the 60 players selected in the NBA draft. You also left off KAT, Cauley-Stein, and Portis.

Jordan Mickey was selected 33rd in the draft and Jarell Martin was selected 25th. House and Jones are both locks to be drafted late 1st round/early 2nd round this coming June. Last mock I saw had Jones going top 15 so your point was pretty relevant. By October, all of those guys except probably Moody will be on an NBA roster.

Chances are he'll match up with Delly tomorrow.
Ever seen the movie White Men Can't Jump?

Whiteside was also at the YMCA last summer, but after being in the Heat system for a season +, is prob looking at 20M/year.
Who really cares about what was, when it didn't involve what is?
Like I said, nobody I know who follows the Heat isn't real excited about this core.

@WiggyRuss . How many times did you say Deng was finished/garbage?
How many players in the league have been all around better than him since his switch to PF?
And, no more Gragic criticism?
The problem was never lack of talent.
It was lack of time to figure out best system for them.
