Should we start a poll?
i know who goran dragic and dwayne wade would rather have.....wade plays so much better when whiteside isnt clogging up the court- and dragic might be able to push the ball with a big that could run the floor.

well good thing it would never EVER happen....it would be a slaughter..

The only teams in the current playoffs out east that the cavs can slaughter imo are Atlanta and maybe Detroit

guess we'll get a better picture towards April. imo the Cavs SHOULD win it, but there's an old saying still used...

"be CAREFUL what you wish for. you just might get it..."

If the Cavs beat the Heat, are you having a parade and raising a banner in October?

Can you slaughter the Warriors?

If not, your seasons a bust, James is 0-9 there, and 1 step closer to either leaving or retiring with no more rings then he brought from Miami.

Whiteside clogging up the lane has nothing to do with Wade numbers. Wade did just fine and had his best season ever when Shaq clogged up the lane the same way.

Blaming Whiteside for the heat style of play now? Wow you're really reaching

Advance stats continue to tell a story that ends with the Heat simply being a better basketball team when Whiteside isn't on the court. All season long, the numbers have shown the Heat has a drastically better defense withoutits shot-blocking seven-footer standing in the paint. It's no longer too small of a sample size — the Heat is a better defensive team without Whiteside on the court. As it stands, the Heat has a defensive rating of 102.0 with Whiteside on the court and a 96.5 rating with him off the court. The defensive numbers — no matter how hard your eye-test tries to make you disagree — continue to suggest the Heat is a better defensive team when Whiteside doesn't play.

Last week, ESPN's Tom Haberstroh joined the 790 the Ticket's morning show crew to discuss the conundrum the Miami Heat finds itself in and what story the numbers tell regarding the Heat with/without Whiteside.

"When you look at the numbers, with Whiteside on the floor, Dwyane Wade scores just 20.6 points per every 36 minutes, and the Heat get outscored by 44 points. When Whiteside is off the floor, Dwyane Wade is averaging 26 points per every 36 minutes, and the Heat are outscoring opponents by two points," Haberstroh said.

In addition to dropping those concerning Wade-Whiteside stats on Heat fans' laps, Haberstroh also touched on how Whiteside's presence in the paint on offense might be doing more harm than good regarding the style the Heat wants to play with Goran Dragic.

"I think when it comes to Goran, he's one of the best finishers in the league at the rim when he's healthy," Haberstroh said. "It comes down to if you have one less big body that you have to deal with down there in the paint, it's going to be much easier for him to score."

He sure knows a lot about the Heat for a person whose seen 2-3 games.
Wade and Whiteside are connected.
Still a work in progress with Dragic.

Polls up.
Numbers will speak for themself.

I'll bet the other owners/GM this summer give a definitive answer.
Whiteside will have big offers from the time FA starts.
Tristan will still have none, during a 90 day holdout.

US today, another rag....LESS THAN A WEEK AgO

Hassan Whiteside looked wistful as he considered what life might have been like for him in any previous version of the NBA.

“I wonder,” Whiteside said, sitting in front of his locker before a recent game. “But that wasn't the era I was born in. It would've been a little different.”
(EXACTLY WHAT I WAS SAYING!!!!! LOL))

You can have good stats but hurt your team... numbers do lie sometimes. #onlypeoplethatknowthegameunderstandthat

@rudygobert27 @NikolaVucevic Blancoté ?? lool

Blancoté isn’t a real French word, but “blanc” and “côté” translate to “white” and “side,” as in Heat center Hassan Whiteside, a guy who certainly puts up a lot of gaudy numbers (and isn’t shy about trumpeting them), but hasn’t done a whole lot to turn his team into a consistent winner.

when the Euro's are burning you on twitter...lol

There is no way rebounding and blocks can hurt your team.

im not saying it does- im not saying Whiteside is bad- im just saying- hes definitely not a tier 1 center- and because of the way he plays and how its hard for him to fit in modern systems, hes gonna find himself out of place a lot of times---- plus- im sorry- a big part of it is this guy just seems to be an idiot. Guys like Valunciunas, and Gobert- who have worked their asses of forever and dont complain or brag on twitter, or post weird shit, or whatever....there are just SOO many guys if i were a team i would rather trust a large part of my payroll with.

Tristan Thompson has played in the most consecutive games in the league- over 330. He never gets hurts. He always plays. He was drafted as high as he was in large part because he has an A+ work ethic and attitude. He can play PF and he can play C and he can play both well. He will never complain about his role or not getting the ball. He stepped up when it mattered and proved the moment wasnt too big for him when he played great in the playoffs.

He is a valuable modern big because he can switch defensively and guard multiple positions, show hard on the pick and roll and get back to his guy, and can guard out to the three point line- things that if you cant do as a big in the modern NBA you are going to find yourself on the bench for large stretches of games- He has developed a nice pick and roll game and actually draws a decent amount of attention when he roles to the hoop with how successful alley oops have been to him- particularly from Delly. He is of course one of the very best rebounders in the NBA- and is constantly drawing fouls and outworking guys for offensive boards.
He is a guy you can absolutely give a big contract to and never once worry if he is going to work to earn it.

Contrast that with a guy like Whiteside. Who you constantly have to babysit. Who is constantly just acting like a fool- whether its REALLY stupid stuff like last year shoving guys and getting suspended, or this year- arguing in the press with reporters, posting the weirdest shit to the internet, http://deadspin.com/hassan-whiteside-on-his-monster-triple-double-aint-no-1753346150 right here it talks about how a week ago WAde and Bosh were subtetly calling out Whiteside for babying his injuries, . This is something that would NEVER EVER EEEEEEEEEEEEVER happen with Tristan Thompson.

The numbers have shown thus far that the Heat play better defense without Whiteside- the counter to this is 10 games from last month. REALLY? When you have a guy like Whiteside- who cant switch, who cant get out to the 3 pt line, who cant show hard on a high pick and roll you have a problem. Your defense is going to be out of whack.

Offensively is where Whiteside has room to grow- but right now- besides offensive put backs and dunks in the pick and roll- he is worthless. He is one of the least efficient post players in the entire NBA. He cant pass. He cant shoot outside of 15 feet. How do your an offense with a big that cant post up, cant shoot, and cant pass. Its basically playing 4 on 5. No wonder the opposition can just clog the middle and DWades points are severely down when he is on the court.

YES- the guy does some things VERY VERY WELL- he blocks a lot of shots, and rebounds the ball a lot. Those are good things. I never said they werent- but when you measure the whole package- when you have a big that cant switch, that cant go out to the 3 pt line, that cant show hard ona high pick and roll- in todays NBA you have a problem.

I will take the guy that

A. shows up every day rain or shine, hurt or not
B. has a reputation for a great work ethic and attitude, as opposed to a poor work ethic and an attitude that got him black balled for multiple years
C. who has proven he can not only handle the playoffs- but excel in them when the moments get big
D. that has the versatility to play multiple positions
E. that you will never worry about getting lazy after getting his big deal. this is a HUGE DEAL I think.
F. A guy that does not need to get babysat, who doesn't text swear words at reporters when he gets criticized
G. A guy who doesn't run to twitter to brag about his stats like a little kid- a guy who is an ACTUAL professional
H. A guy that can switch on defense and stay with a guard for a little while, or follow a good shooting big out to the 3 pt line, or show hard and disrupt a pick and roll- instead of having to taken out of the game because the opposing teams lineup dictates you need to sit because you are a liability.

No Heat fan has ever claimed that any Heat player was better than James.
No Heat fan has ever said the Heat would win a playoff series vs the Cavs this year.

I see Wiggy has been up to his red herrings, deflections and just plain making shit up as usual.
