wow - you guys are certainly reading a lot into the first pre-season game. ...

We obviously can't watch all of the pre-season games. Add your comment here:

Bears-Eagles - Bears were missing 2 OL yet protected Jay decently. Foles threw 2 picks, with one of them against the second team defense at the end of the 1st quarter.

Really the only thing I've seen thus far in week one that really peeked my interest, TRich getting banged up already. He's officially off my Draft board, baring a monumental fall into the late late rounds

E.J. Manuel is progressing like J.P. Losman. Man, when are the Bills gonna stop drafting QB's that go by their initials?

I've seen Gilbert throw 2 passes in the Rams Saints game. . I'm ready to say he's sending Bradford to the bench:nod:

How the hell was Blaine Gabbert taken in the 1st round? He went up against a backup defense and managed to get a whopping 1.7 passer rating.

Carlos Hyde is the real deal. He looks much quicker than I anticipated, has great vision, and even pass-blocks very well. This guy is definitely the future after Gore goes down. This is Gore's contract year, so next year I expect it to be Hyde. MIGHT be sooner but it's hard to tell with how Gore keeps chugging along.

I like Hyde for the future, but the fact that this sesaon is liekly gore's last with the 49ers, i see the 49ers running him to death... Unless he gets hurt, i dont see Gore getting less than 70% of the Carries this season... And due to that, i would stay away from Hyde, even though i think he has the brightest future of all the rookie RBs....

The commentary on Rams v Saints won't shut up about how Mason broke Bo Jackson's rushing record at Auburn. I did not know he'd done that. Mason is now my last favorite player in the NFL

Based on today's ADP these are the groupings for round 3 thru 6. Are you sure you can't find a combination of players?

Another "in general" comment,
One bad thing about watching preseason games on NFL network, all the local yocal bias on commentary. Half the time they're such fan boys they can't even get the call right. "TOUCHDOWN!!!!!, Oh, wait they marked him out at the five" doh!

I am probably one of the only guys on this thread that can say this honestly, but I do not watch pre-season football. I honesty just find that it clouds my judgment. I get too caught up in how good backups look at times and how bad starters look and think that there's just no way they can stick with this guy when his backup is that good. The starters are starters for a reason and in most cases the "experts" tend to be spot on with who the starter is going to be (other than Knowshon last year who came out of nowhere). I know that you guys will say that you can find your sleepers, your deep sleepers, and your semi-comatose sleepers, but honestly I just don't keep those guys on my roster long enough for them to wake up. It is so rare for me to have anybody on my roster that I drafted after round 10 that it's completely useless to me to try and find a diamond in the rough so I can drop him in week 3 for the flavor of the week. It would probably be different if I was in any dynasty leagues, but I am not. Now granted I am also the one that takes an entire week calculating every players calculated points based on last year's defenses and most of you would think that is useless, but to each his own. In my case it has served me well to just avoid watching pre-season football altogether.

Greg ' the leg' sucked, Tre Mason looked good so did Stacy - STL will run, Cutler looked good, Shaub looked like Shaub, Tannehill looked good, Brandin Cook is quick, Ingram ran like a man possessed.
