I don't like the Pirates chances...Edinson Volquez has a very good ERA for the NL, but his peripherals are shaky. Bumgarner is a legit number 1. I think the Giants have a very real advantage there.

I was spot on. Volquez was not good and Bumgarner was great.

In the Wildcard games KC and SF baseball and football teams won and Pittsburgh and Oakland baseball and football teams lost. Thought it was an interesting coincidence. Sure the losing cities have some serious sports media bashing going on in those areas.

Minus the boring part he's actually right. Their pitching staff is really freaking good and they did suck every bit of life out of PNC last night. Bumgarner is a legit stud.
